dana white said that the main event was the biggest embarrassment in his 10 years in charge and the 1st time he's ever walked out on a main event

I can't find the link to it but I heard Dana said Silva was the first UFC Champ ever to have a fight stoped by the ref and get _____ed slapped for running, a total disgrace he called it.

On paper this was basically A Silva vs Thales Leites 2. I mean I give props to Damien for hanging in there, but he was no where near Silvas level which in turn gave Anderson a big head causing boredom and Anderson to act like a dumb ass. I love A. Silva, but he danced more than he fought a really poor performance and again it looked just like his performance against Thales...a "super duper ground fighter" with little to no striking going against a guy with superior totally unorthadox striking with great accuracy. Again you can be a BJJ black belt all day long, but if you cant get your opponent on the ground your as good as a white belt. Again Anderson just made himself look dumb and should have just finished the fight if he was so bored that he felt like dancing so much. I lost a little respect for Silva tonight.

As for Frankie...what I was thinking about was while Frankie looked really impressive with quick movement and getting the takedowns it made me think of Shogun vs Machida. When Shogun lost everyone said he didnt do enough to take the belt. Everyone said to be the champ you have to beat the champ...so what was the difference here. Dont get me wrong Im happy for Frankie he looked good, but if you go by the Shogun vs Machida philosphy...he didnt beat the champ besides some take downs and some decently landed punches, but BJ was also landing punches. Again in that case Shogun should be wearing the LH belt as well. Just my thoughts.

Great fights tonight just disappointed in A. Silva.

Everyone knows how unpredictable judges will be in this sport, if you leave certain rounds up in the air, there's no way of telling whos gonna win the fight. I'm positive they will fight again real soon though, the division isnt that deep anymore

just made my night. Saw amd met Brandon Vera at Wal-mart :rock

Was his faced still wrecked from Bones elbow coming down on his face? :lol

WTF...Frankie didn't do enough to take the belt..I don't know maybe he had enough "points" by his hitting and moving (I still say it was 3-2 in that case for Penn) but sorry not enough to take the belt IMO....hopefully it'll be taken from him soon b/c I don't care to see him fight again. Penn must have a bum knee.

Also, Silva you embarrassed yourself and the UFC with your clowning which made YOU look like a fool and not doing anything for the 4th and 5th rounds. I hope GSP destroys you if you can cut weight.

I still think GSP could move up to face him, he dominated Alves and even though GSP said he felt like the weaker fighter against him, he still dominated him with an injury and Alves is prolly the biggest WW out there, but Vitor will prolly get his shot next, so I'm still skeptical if we will ever see that fight.

Silva WAS one of my favorites, but now he is a little _____. If he could have won early, he should have won early. Running and jumping around like a little _____ is annoying; and VERY Mayweatherish. I hate both those _____es now.

As for BJ, I have no idea how one judge scored it 50-45 against him, were they watching another fight? Appparently, running around missing jabs counts for you in the UFC nowadays....

I only lightly follow UFC but all I know is Silva is getting killed on this one Twitter Feed I follow. :lol

We can tell you only lightly follow UFC by that comment. There was no way Damien was going to do anything to Silva no matter how much of a dumb ass Silva looked.

I wonder if someone placed some money on the Silva fight going the distance..............

huh? I was just saying from what I know of UFC and how good silva is that he must have acted like a real ____ to have so many tweets talking about how folks are ripping him. At the time I didn't know what he had done yet but obviously do know and I agree he acted like a ******. If you can go out and rip out your opponents heart just do it.

i think he read your "killed" as silva getting beat whereas you meant it as he was getting criticized :lol

Thats pretty cool. Did ask him why he let Randy Couture win? lol

Yeah, Silva disappointed me. He should have just finished in the 1st or 2nd round and not have clowned so damn much.

I still dont think Frankie won the belt. He was active and fought really well but it wasnt like he beat Penn. I'm sure penn will get another shot at the title. I'm not sure if Frankie can hold onto that belt for long.

Ah that could be it. Yeah, I just meant by people posting their thoughts and all.

ahh I got ya man, yeah I read it like you thought Silva was going to lose the fight, thats why I was like what. Its all good, personally with a perfomance like that I would have been happier if he lost.

I saw the video with Dana talking about the fight. He was upset and completely disappointed in Silva. It was like his best friend stole his girlfriend and drank all his beer. lol

Anyone else feel like the vibe of the whole event was kind of lame? the crowd was so freakin quiet the whole time, as if they were watching tennis or golf.

Japan can be the same way as well. But I don't think many in the crowd were really UFC fans, more so curious casuals.

Yeah Japan is worse if you're used to loud and rowdy crowds. But it's considered respectful to not make noise (unless something spectacular happens).

yup, only noise are pretty much claps of respect. They do this for all types of bout fests (sumo,"wrestling",ect).

As for Penn's loss, he seemed to agree judging by his reaction after the scores were read. No real protest, though he didn't show for the post fight interview.
