Agreed. But the problem with HW TUF's are the matches are extremely boring.

The ratings for all the HW seasons were low. Perhaps with the right coaches, but I watch the show for the fights, not the shenanagins.

Its boring to people because they are used to seeing LW and MW fights. LW/MW have more energy and therefore put on a better fight. Let me know of another way to improve the HW division in the UFC. maybe we can clone Fedor. :impatient:

? I'm not "acting" like anything. I KNOW you're not saying that. Most of that post wasn't even in response to you, I was just ranting.

Relax, man.

Regardless, you DID say Fedor turned down fights. I simply asked for proof.

:cuckoo: :slap Thanks for the clarification. Continue your ranting.

And there really isn't a need to improve the HW division of the UFC as it's the strongest it's been in years.

Cain
Brock
Carwin
Kongo
Nog
Mir
Dos Santos
Nelson
Browne
Struve
Schaub
Russow

That's a pretty ******* impressive list of established stars, journeymen, and up-and-comers.

Okay? Thanks for the proof. I asked for simple proof where you stated that Fedor has been ducking his opponents to help his record. You didn't give any, and instead - like a child - offered highly intelligent emoticons as responses.

Normally, I don't mind when people talk out of their ass, but I'll just remember that for the next time you decide to give your opinion.

You're obviously new to the sport, but if you want anyone to take your opinions seriously, try to provide some proof(or a simple link) when giving such extreme notions.

I dont think fedor ever ducked fighters just because he didn't sign with the UFC, thats what most believe. He was going to fight Randy Couture until the UFC halted that. I could see him ducking a Anderson Silva type of fighter, but that never existed in the HW division.

Who do you know that Fedor has turned down? I've never heard of Fedor turning down a fight in Strikeforce or anywhere else for that matter.

Actually Fedor has turned down a few fights. He turned down a fight with Cro Cop in PRIDE (Shockwave 2003) to fight Yuji Nagata at Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye back in 2003 (both shows happened the same day). Which is why PRIDE set up an interim HW Title match between Big Nog and Cro Cop the following month. It's worth noting that Mirko Cro Cop was undefeated at that point.

Fedor also turned down a fight with Vitor Belfort at Affliction: Trilogy after Barnett tested positive. Vitor wanted the fight, Affliction offered the fight but Fedor and his management wanted to fight Brett Rogers instead. Which is why Affliction ended up contacting Strikeforce to get permission for Rogers to compete (since he was under contract with Strikeforce). That's when Fedor stated in an interview with Sherdog that he prefers to fight bigger, slower HW's and that smaller, faster guys have always been harder to fight for him. He also said there that he would prefer to fight Brett Rogers. Vadim (M-1 Global) said the same thing.

And in Strikeforce Fedor turned down Overeem. Scott Coker wanted Fedor to fight Rogers and THEN Overeem for their HW title. Fedor refused which is why Overeem fought Rogers (who Fedor just beat) and why Fedor fought Werdum yesterday.

your p4p list...just no.

Care to elaborate? And I made a mistake.. :lol Shogun is supposed to be #5 on my list.

Thanks for the info, Devil. Let me research; especially on the notion that Fedor turned down Overeem to fight Werdum.

And I knew about Belfort, though I wouldn't consider it a turn down. It was only a few days notice before the fight and Belfort was in a WIN-WIN situation. Surely you could see that.

My problem with the UFC HW's is I don't think there established yet. They will be shortly. I'm worried about Cain's chin after being dropped by Kongo a few times. Mir n Nog should hang it up. I like Dos Santos, and if Cain KO's Lesnar, he becomes the man, time will tell. And it does set a bunch of great match ups. Thats why I never cared to see Fedor go there yet. I wanna see a clear winner of that pack.

Remember Gonzaga, Arlovski were the next coming but failed. Let these dudes fight it out, alot will be settled in the next few months.

What a bunch of BS, you sound like Dana White, did you hear the Coker interview about Fedor v Overeem. Boy do you love to hate. You must be paid by the UFC.

Well, Overeem would make the list better. Maybe Werdum...again.

And Fedor, obviously. But who else?

I ran into Barnett at Bellator Fighting Championships a few weeks ago, and he is content in fighting when he feels like it. He made it sound more like a money thing, than trying to gain more credibility - or even a belt, for that matter.

Cool dude, though.

Don't beleive that dude. I thought the athelic commison or a sponsor turned that card down after barnett got busted. How can you blame Fedor for that, that had nothing to do with him. Dude, don't listen to Dana White, a.k.a Devil

Barnett has alot of talent such he's not in the mainstream, I really wanted to see him fight Fedor in Affliction. Always liked him and his entrance music.

I think he likes Japan because he's probably banging alot of chicks there. There's alot of story's about PRIDE fighters and the women there.

True, I mean A LOT of fighters have "valid" reasons why they turn down fights. But it's still ducking. It's like A LOT of fighters have "valid" reasons why they lost a fight. Doesn't change the fact that they lost. You know?

And it's not uncommon either.

Rampage has ducked Machida twice now (one was for a LHW Title shot). His reason, he wanted to fight Rashad instead.

Werdum stated before the Fedor fight that he wasn't interested in a rematch with Overeem and after winning he stated again that he'd rather fight a rematch with Fedor as opposed to a HW Title shot vs. Overeem.

Babalu just beat Lawler for a guaranteed LHW Title shot against King Mo and publicly turned it down (post fight interview) and asked for a rematch vs. Dan Henderson instead. His reason: Babalu and King Mo are training partners/friends.

Then you have guys like Kos and Fitch who won't fight each other. Fitch even said if Kos beats GSP and can defend the title he'll be moving up to MW to avoid that fight (with his friend/training partner).

So it happens alot. Fedor is no different.

nah I just ignored you. I dont have time for your little game. You know everything so there is no need to say anymore to you. Congrats to you.

Wrong. The reason the card fell apart is because Affliction made a last minute deal to renew their sponsorship deal with the UFC.

Typical non-sense from a paid M-1 Global poster aka WASEDO.

I think he likes Japan because he's probably banging alot of chicks there.

Yeah and they also don't test for steroids. Pretty sweet deal for the only guy in MMA history that's tested positive three times. :duh

Your so biased, more crap. Its no difference.... except for Fedor since every argument you call him out for Ducking Fighters...please we know your true colors.

Why do you call him WASEDO and not NASEDO? :dunno

Poor Affliction. Started an MMA organization and all I got was this shirt (company worth millions :) )

I'm not a fan of M-1 either, so try again. And I do like Dana White, just don't agree with some of his buisnees tatics, but I could care less, I just wanna watch fights.
