yeah I forgot about Bigfoot...now the Fedor fan in me would say he would destroy Silva, but after seeing what he did against Werdum, I cant make that claim anymore. I would say lets hope he comes out with a clear mental edge and doesnt let his emotions take over and start swinging for the fences and pay for it again. Im not an Antonia Silva fan, but I wont say he couldnt do it. Either way agreed, Strikeforce just needs to get going with there heavies instead of wasting all there time with Fedor, treat him like any other fighter and get him back in the mix the right way.

They should put Werdum vs. Overeem (HW Title) and Fedor vs. Antonio Silva on the same card. Throw in Cris Cyborg (FW Title) vs. Erin Toughill for good measure.

That makes prefect sense especially since Werdum beat Fedor and Silva.

You just want to see Cyborg kill again. lol

I think Erin Toughill is pretty much the last gal that has a chance to stop her. Then Cyborg goes to UFC and starts clearing out the lightweight division.

Well the only other real 145 lb women out there that Cris hasn't raped is Toughill (2# Female FW). So it makes sense. But realistically, Strikeforce is running out of options for Cris. Not too many 145 lb women for her to fight and even if they keep throwing her natural 135 pounders to crush eventually that won't be an option either.

She needs to start fighting some guys.

I mean overall its like Strikeforce really needs to get more fighters in every division pretty much, some more than others, but yeah look at the heavyweight debacle getting ready to happen, and now you have the women and well...as I said pretty much every division strikeforce has theres an issue with no more opponents or someone doestn want to fight someone else because there a friend ...etc.

Yeah, its going to happen everywhere, but the UFC has a roster to have backups...when situations like this occur in smaller organizations it really leaves them in a tough spot.

It's like the proposed MW tourney in SF (if Shields leaves and vacates the title). It sounds good, and there's a lot of good match ups but ultimately they're gonna exhaust any type of contender for the winner of that tourney and new champion. Because they're gonna have essentially ALL the MW talent they have competing. Which is kinda sad in and of itself considering it's only a 8 man tourney.

Well they have Cung Le, Hendo, Lawler, Jacare, Lindland, Scott Smith, Melvin Manhoef, Jason Miller, Joey Villasenor, Kazuo Misaki, and Tim Kennedy.

These are the top MW fighters in Strikeforce.

All the names in bold means they lost their last fight. Note: most of those fighters have co-promotion contracts so they fight elsewhere in addition to SF. Also Note: Misaki won't be fighting anytime soon.

They also signed Karl Amoussou and Siyar Bahadurzada but neither guy has actually fought in SF yet.

The rest of their MW division isn't worth noting. I saw that Nick Diaz might participate in that MW tourney as well. Not sure though.

I think Jacare will win the whole tourney tbh. Unless Diaz enters.. then that might be the final (assuming they're placed on opposite brackets). That would be a sick match!

I thought Jacare was going to be their MW champ anyways. I never thought much of Jake Shields at MW (don't think too much of him at WW either).

Yep, my money is on jacare also to win the tourney. Your right unless Nick gets in that could change things up, but my money would be on Jacare, hes the most well rounded fighter next to Nick IMO. I think jacare would school Jake.

I'd also back Jacare as the possible winner of the tourney. He didnt look so great in his last fight ( he seemed to gas a bit) but I think he'd make up for it.

TONIGHT: UFC 116 Countdown 7pm ET/PT.

I might be missing 116 as well. All depends on how busy I am.
