You realize that Jon Jones has said the same exact thing, right? Everyone from GJ's camp has stated that they would not fight each other. This has been going on for years.

Rashad sure looked like he wanted the title when he was pummeling a flailing Griffin on the floor like a 3 year old child.

Rashad is a fighter. But he's also human. One that chooses not to want to fight against guys he trains with on a daily basis. Jones feels the same way. As does Sanchez. As does Guillard. As do anyone else from the GJ camp.

i guess im one of the few that would fight anyone to reach my goal if i were in that situation. its not like these guys wouldnt be friends anymore if they did. i think finding a different camp to train with would prolly be the most difficult thing mentally. maybe they have some sort of pact amognst each others as well :dunno. It just sounds very darastic to move to a different division, or wait until said guy loses the title and hope you get a shot at it.

According to Rampage, the reason he turned down the title shot against Shogun is because of the short notice. He said he couldn't make weight in time. Said he would've had to drop 45lbs in 4 weeks and that would be impossible for him.

regardless, the Shogun rematch will happen eventually. hopefully, after Shogun loses to Jones :monkey1

Greg Jackson fighters aren't the only ones who refuse to fight each other. Cesar Gracie fighters, Black House, AKA, etc. ALL refuse to fight each other as well. l

Not a fan of this brand of bro-love. If you work for the premiere MMA org in the world, you should do your job and be always willing to fight the premiere fighters in the world.

Story making the rounds regarding an altercation between Rashad and Rampage at XS nightclub in Vegas.

Reportedly, Rampage slapped Rashad in the face, Rashad returns the favor, security breaks it up.

Also from a recent conference call:

- Dana: UFC will probably start doing 5 round main event non-title fights
- Dana: Fedor should win easily this weekend against Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva
- Dana: Nick Diaz is the best pound for pound fighter outside of the UFC
- Dana: Likes/respects Alistair Overeem, would sign him if he could

Hmm...5 round non-title fights...thats interesting
I also am reading now that Silva might be out and Quinton may fight Rashad now...man everythings going off now.

That would be lame, Rashad would just do the same thing to him he did the first time. Rampage is way too slow and predictable to beat Rashad.

I went to the StrikeForce Conference/Event Yesterday in NYC. It was a good time. Free Autographs, Sparring, all kinds of stuff.

I'm hyped for this tournament, alot of good fighters. I still can't pick a winner. I'm giving Barnett a chance. I think Overeem is the favorite and then Fedor. But anything can happen.

which girl are you in the picture?

Read this on wiki. If Rampage vs Evans 2 happens it is a very stacked UFC 130 card.
Main Card

Lightweight Championship bout: Frankie Edgar (c) vs. Gray Maynard
Light Heavyweight bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Rashad Evans
Heavyweight bout: Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson
Middleweight bout: Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann*
Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story
* was reported to be off but who knows
Quinton Jackson was set to face Thiago Silva at this event. However, Silva was reported to have withdrawn due to unstated reasons, and Rashad Evans was to step in as his replacement as a rematch of the UFC 114 headliner, which Evans won by decision.[2] When contacted about his withdrawal, Silva said he was not injured, and "can't wait" to fight Rampage.[3] Additionally, it's been reported that Rashad has only been "approached" about the fight in case Thiago is indeed out. Initial theories indicate a possible failed drugs test following UFC 125, where NSAC executive director Keith Kizer says the commission "is still investigating at least one sample from the event" and that Silva had indeed submitted a pre-fight screen.

im skeptical whether Rashad can even make a full recovery from his knee injury when May comes around, anyone know when he blew it out? If Silva is really out, then how about a Griffin rematch?

I think Dana got a call from the camp like the day before or day of UFC 126... so we can assume it happened last week.

Yeah I'd personally rather see Rampage vs. Griffin II but given the circumstances Rampage vs. Evans II would be good too. Remember Rampage had a hell of a time making weight for that first fight coming off the A-Team movie. This time he's already had a fight plus been in training for the Thiago fight so things might be different. Hell Rampage dropped and hurt Rashad but he had 0 energy to follow it up.

BS! Rashad went for a shot hit his face on Rampages knee was rocked and Rampage took advantage of it(like he should have) but he couldn't finish.

well then he defn wont be making a fight in a couple months just having blown his knee out, not even possible. Griffin II it is..........

I thought he followed it up with a flurry of blows trying to finish him...just none of them landed.

Rampage was gased. He even said so in the post-interview.

:lecture

After Rampage threw a left hook (that grazed) Rashad ducked under and tried to go for a takedown. Yes. But his head never touched Rampage's knee. His head went between Rampage's legs. Rampage's right knee touched Rashad's left shoulder but it was the two big right hooks Rampage landed afterwards that rocked and dropped Rashad (made Rashad's leg get stanky for a minute. lol). Found a video of it so you can see.

At one point Rampage stopped punching all together and just laid on Rashad because he was so gassed.
