Yeah I like Diaz and would be cheering for him over GSP, but I see george's wrestling being a major factor here. I think GSP will just out muscle him for sure.

Personally, I'd love to see Nick Diaz embarrassed by a Canadian....just like his brother. :monkey3

any update on GSP's left eye condition?

Nothing official, though it appears it wasn't a detached retina, which would have been disasterous. The only thing we know for certain is that he didn't need both eyes in order to beat Shields. :lecture

While true Woodsy, i still feel he could have done more. What was up with that winding crazy right he kept throwing as well.

It's the same punch that Dan Henderson clocked Shields with. Jake Shields has a bad habit of simply leaning back and leaving his head straight up when punches start coming. GSP landed it a few times too.

thats what I was thinking, I thought he worked on his boxing to improve, he looked worst than ever

I suppose it hasn't quite occurred to you that GSp's inability to see from his left eye not only affected his ability to box, but his overall gameplan as well. :cuckoo: Or are you of the belief that the boxing skills he displayed when he pummelled the supposedly superior boxer, Josh Koschek, suddenly disappeared overnight. :slap :lol

he was throwing that overhand right since round 1, he never threw 1 straight right, what does his eye have to do with how he throws a punch :slap

How old are you? Please tell me your kidding....you couldn't possibly be that thick. You can't possibly be so dense as to not realize how important eyesight is to a precision fighter like GSP, can you?:slap

Did you even watch the fight? Do you think it a coincidence that GSP was methodically picking Shields apart the first two rounds and then had trouble finding the range the last 3 rounds?

Don't worry I'm still here, but I have been posting alot at the UG, just more flow for MMA and its the best MMA forum out there. I been a member there longer then I have been here. But I'm trying to get out of the collecting toy stuff. I'll try to post as much as I can to make you happy, but I just dont see that happening that much sorry for not contributing more. Alot of times I come on this forum and dont even check this thread, but again I'll try harder.

Yeah i used to post at the UG and OG a long long time ago back when it was fightingtalk.com and then turned to submissionfighting.com and now mmaunderground. Kiriks a good guy and runs a good site.

I can see how not seeing out of 1 eye can affect you dodging punches but not swinging, I can be blind out of my left eye and still have you KTFO

Kirik is awesome, ran into him at some smaller shows. I go to alot of the amateur shows, grappling events. That site post all the shows. I also like the fact that Fighters post there, thats pretty cool. Carwin post alot there.

But posting here is tough. Topics run quick, then TUF fanboys like DevilDog have to be wise a$$, so its hard to get any good flow, and people like DevilDog get offended and Mad too quick. So let it be.

Seeing as I doubt you can get out of bed in the morning without hurting yourself I find that highly doubtful. :lol There's really not anything else I can say that is within your ability to comprehend so I would suggest you look up the term 'depth perception'. And if that doesn't help maybe you could contact Josh Koschek and ask him just how easy it was for him to hit GSP when he could only see out of one eye.
And I'm still waiting for you to explain how GSP was able to completely outclass a fighter considered to be a superior boxer [Koschek], and this even before he closed Koschek's eye....only to have so much trouble 'finding the range' with a terrible stand up fighter in Shields.....and please, no more stupid comments dismissing the importance of proper eyesight. :slap

Koschek considered to be a superior boxer over GSP? ROFL, are you kidding me?

Kos having one punch KO power, yes. but superior technical boxing skills....hell no.
