C'mon guys let's get everyone's predictions for Sanchez vs. Stevenson. Also i read today that Yushin Oakami will face the winner of Silva vs. Leites.

Stevenson loses by yet ANOTHER rear naked choke. lol. Yushin Okami.. meh. Silva will beat Leites and then beat Okami (again) except no DQ this time.

should be a good fight.
I'll go for Sanchez as well. Although his "game face" has become laughable ...

I wonder what Rich Franklin's fate will be now, he can't fight Sylva again and LHD probably won't work out.

I actually feel bad for Rich.. lol. He's in a bad situation: basically he has the ability to beat almost every fighter in the UFC MW division yet it doesn't matter because that will just lead to a 3rd slaughter with Silva, who's destroyed Franklin twice. Both times easily.

And now he's in the most competetive divisions in the UFC: LHW. He couldn't beat Hendo (regardless of opinion, in the books it's an "L") and I honestly don't see him doing well against guys like Rampage, Rashad, Liddell, Vera, Rua (in shape) or Forrest. I even think Jardine could out-kick/strike him similar to the Jardine/Liddell fight.

Anything is possible, but like Wandy, the future is not so bright. Wand is considering a drop to MW.. and my question is: WHY!? Again.. that road leads to Silva and Wand's biggest weakness is strikers that can punch down the middle, since Wand loops his punches. Well A.Silva is known for down the pipe heaters.. so Wand would be brutalized imo.

I got a suggestion, let Franklin vs. Wanderlei appear as a co-main event or even lower than that and whoever wins get to stay in the UFC and the loser goes by-by. Doesn't matter which weight class it happens in, preferably LHD. Then once the winner loses once he's also gone. I really like Rich (because he looks like a regular dude and was a Math Teacher) and Wanderlei hasnt ever did anything to make me not like him. They are both in a bad situation like you said but let them fight in LHD and if Franklin wins let him vs. Silva in the LHD, everyone knows Franklin wants another shot.

My picks for Sanchez vs. Stevenson are:

Sanchez vs. Stevenson
Marquardt vs. Gouveia
Maia vs. Sonnen
Koscheck vs. Thiago
Juniod Dos Santos vs. Stefan Struve

I only put up the fights i care about:D

I like Sanchez and Stevenson a lot but i think Sanchez will just be too much for him. Marquardt is a monster and is hungry for Silva but wouldn't be surprised if Gouveia wins since he is use to fighting people bigger than him in the LHD and is most likely stronger than Marquardt. I like Chael Sonnen and really want him to win since he didn't get the WEC belt because Paulo Filho didn't make weight then the MD was cut from the WEC. From the fights i have seen with Sonnen, he gets caught up in the moment and takes his opponents to the ground and he himself gets submitted. Maia is really good at controlling you on the ground so if it goes there Sonnen is over. Sonnen also won't knock him out so the only way he can win is by Decision. Koscheck is my boy and will knock the piss out the Brazilian he is fighting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with everything except for your Marquardt vs. Gouveia pick. But I agree with your breakdown of that fight.. that's why I'm personally leaning towards Gouveia. Let's see if he makes weight this time. lol. But seriously.. I'm picking Gouveia for that fight.. but like your breakdown, it could go either way so no surprise if Nate the Great wins.

I can't wait to see Sonnen scream when Maia submits him. lol.

UFC 99 - COLOGNE, GERMANY (June 13, 2009)

Lightweight Championship Match: B.J. Penn vs. Kenny Florian
Catchweight (195 lb) Match: Wanderlei Silva vs. Rich Franklin
Caol Uno vs. Spencer Fisher (LW)

I don't think it's a "Loser leaves" match though. lol.

Sounds like Cro Cop might be coming back to the UFC to face Couture on that card too.

Yeah I heard about that too. If you remember, that's the fight everyone assumed would happen when Cro Cop fought Gonzaga.. since the winner was scheduled to fight Couture for the belt. Couture even said at that time, the easier fight for him would be Cro Cop since honestly, Cro Cop on the ground = easy win. Cro Cop absolutely sucks in the cage.. really. He got KTFO by Gonzaga and got man handled by Kongo. The win vs. Sanchez... eh. imho.. Sanchez wasn't there to "Win" if you know what I mean.

If that fight happens, even a 45/46 yr. old Randy will tool Mirko. I thought Randy was hurt though?

I hope Sanchez and Marquardt get taken out.

I havent really like Marquart ever since he power bombed that guy on his head.
... that couldve paralyzed the other fighter. Wasnt a cool move IMO ... :monkey1
