Rampage wanted another fight before a title shot against Evans. Rampage blames inactivity for his performance against Griffin. He said he NEVER wants to have that long of a lay off inbetween fights again. I don't see him losing to Jardine.. although stranger things have happened. lol. But Jardine has a glass jaw.. and Rampage is one of the strongest punchers in MMA imo. If Quinton even glances Jardine.. the techno viking is going DOWN. We'll see.

I think Rampage is going to maul Jardine, unless he comes in unprepared for the leg kicks like chuck did.

That's what I'm thinking.. that's the only way I see Jardine winning: devastating leg kicks. But with Griffin, Rampage says he didn't feel right with the long lay off (due to TUF). How true that is, who knows. But starting with the Wand fight he switched up camps, started dieting and taking vitamins, eating right etc. and he completely destroyed a guy who beat him twice in PRIDE. And that victory was more sweet because the first 2 fights were competetive. Rampage wasn't just mauled. Wand got MAULED.

I didn't think Jardine would beat either Chuck or Forrest.. and he did. And I thought Jardine WOULD beat Houston Alexander. And he didn't. That dude is iffy in fights, not consistent. One minute he looks good.. the next he looks like some bum from off the street.

Even with the superb leg kicks Jardine has.. I don't see his jaw standing up to Rampage. Forrest isn't a KO puncher. And Chuck is a counter-puncher. Rampage has KO power.. and he's alos aggressive and attacks more than just counters. Jardine can't handle that. Look at the Wand/Houston fights. Jardine is good with the fight tempo is slow imo. When things get hectic.. he tries to throw down and unfortunately his jaw can't hang.

Thats a weak card for PPV, Rampage v Jardine.

I just watched UFC 95 on spike, it was ok. I can't believe how Stevenson, Sanchez and even Koschek changed the styles. All were great wrestlers, with awesome shoots. And now their boxers. The Sanchez v Stevenson fight was just a typical throw 2 punches and step back fight. It's like when Sherk fought Penn and he stood the whole time. A guy who never stands. I'm sure these guys will have to bring the wrestling game back, but I like to see their old ways be more of a 1st thing then a last resort.

I'm excited about Rampage and Gabriel Gonzaga. Like everyone else i don't think Jardine can beat Rampage. a)He can't knock him out. b)He can't submit him. If Jardine wins it will be by split decision only from leg kicks. Gonzaga should give us a nice knockout or the other way around from SHane Carwin. Havent seen him fight so idk. I know Brandonm Vera lost a close split decision to Jardine which some people think he won but put him on the undercard. I'm not a fan of this guy but he has some of the coolest KO's in the HWD. I say put him as the first fight.

Yeah I liked Vera, he had a contract dispute with the UFC about a year ago. It was when he was "hot" and looked awesome. He had 1 fight left on his contact and the UFC waited a long time to give him that fight. It was against Tim Sylvia. But he never looked the same after that layoff and dispute.

Yeah.. that dispute was with his management too, not him. Yet Vera had to pay the price. He's no longer with that manager after that incident but I agree, he looked different afterwards. Even now. Long lay offs can F up your game in MMA/Combat Sports for sure.

Shane Carwin is a good prospect, but this will definitely be a big step up in competition for him. He's faced a lot of scrubs up to this point. So now we'll finally see if he's a real HW threat or just really good against mediocre comp. Gonzaga's only problem is conditioning and heart. He has all the tools to be a serious problem at HW (Stand up, Ground game, Strong, Fast for a HW) but imo when he starts losing, he just gives up. I think he gave up against Couture AND Werdum. So we'll see.

If Jardine does win, it will be by leg kicks or a really really lucky KO. I expect Page to come out swining in the first round and go for the early KO.

Alot of people are making out Jardine to be easy pickings for page, but his record really isn't that bad. This match can go either way.

His record isn't that bad.. but his jaw is + Jardine can't handle overly aggressive fighters that immediately come out and pressure him. And imo that's exactly what Page will do. Page has a solid chin (only been KO'ed by Knees) and has KO power so anything from him even remotely lands, Jardine will be out cold and Jardine isn't know for a Thai clinch and knees. We'll see.. anything is possible. Jardine always looks like he's one step away from a great run and then he gets manhandled.

FUN KEITH JARDINE FACT:

After every big win in Jardines career, he's ALWAYS lost the next fight by (T)KO.

Big Win: Forrest Griffin (T)KO
Next Fight = (T)KO Loss to Houston Alexander

Big Win: Chuck Liddell Decision (Split)
Next Fight = KO Loss to Wanderlei Silva

Big Win: Brandon Vera Decision (Split)
Next Fight = Quinton Jackson ???

Take a guess.. :lol

Oh no, I meant (T)KO as in both KO and TKO. He got a TKO loss against Houston, and a KO loss against Wandy. So basically, after every big win jardine gets STOPPED.

Couture agrees to fight Nog. They both looked old there last fights, I guess their evenly matched.
