Really? GSP/Serra 1? EVERYONE considers that outcome a fluke win, especially how GSP destroyed Serra in the rematch. What cracks me up is when someone calls a fight where the favorite wins a fluke. That's someone in need of a dictionary.

Im MMA no one wins by a fluke. Weidman had the speed and power and caught him on the chin. Silva dared him to hit him with his hands down and by God he did. Best thing Weidman can do is run out and buy some Fruitty Pebbles and do his best John Cena impersonation....The Champ is HERE! ....at least till the next title shot. Im looking more forward to the press conference to see what Dana says.

I disagree, out of my 8-9 years of watching the UFC, only 2 come to mind. Serra/GSP like Devil said and this one. If Weidman won a rematch, I will give him tons of credit, but right now, I'm not impressed by anything he did. Congrats to him though, not trying to make it sound like he's a scrub, but he ain't great as of now to me.

Im not impressed by Weidman either. I give him some credit though, Silva has played this game with many others and won this time Weidman got him. I say Weidman loses the belt to whoever next fights him.

The word "Fluke" can be applied to the outcome of anything. It's not a fighting term so your question is irrelevant.

That's the stupidest thing I've seen posted in this thread....and there's been a lot of stupid ***** posted in here.

How can you not be impressed by Weidman beating Silva who was on an 18 fight win streak? Weidman did something no one else in the UFC was able to do and he deserves credit for that...PERIOD.

Is Weidman now the best P4P fighter? Hell no....JBJ moves to #1 now. Weidman may scratch the top 10 by virtue of being the champ, but that still doesn't take anything away from what Weidman did: he is the only person to beat, yet KTFO, Anderson Silva in the UFC.

I doubt Vitor gets the first shot at Weidman, mainly because it's such a long time before the next Brazil card and Vitor won't pass a piss test in the US so he won't be able to fight in Vegas.

Amen to all of this. He may not have been in the top 10 P4P yesterday, but I guarantee he will be as of Monday.
