Which one should I get?

Oh I see.

Well most of us don't have a custom-made Vader either, but we are free with our opinions.

Honestly I think we can make a pretty accurate judgment call based on pictures alone.

Okay, so hurricane has just gotten back with me with the list of options that are available:

options include
lights
sounds,voice function
leather boots
reveal helmet option
interchangeable head sculpts
leather belt
full straps on shin armor
screen accuracy, and or customized look
metal details
cold cathode cordless saber option
6 interchangeable hands
metal saber clip
metal saber hilt
or anything else you like to mention

Any suggestions you guys, which ones are a must? Especially from those of you that has already owned a hurricane custom vader?

Id reccomend a cathode sabre as thats what first switched me onto Glenns work

reveal helmet as although I dont intend to always display Vader without helmet, the details that go into it are fantastic, having the option to be able to display it without is a must

Voice function for me, isnt a biggy

as is interchangeable headsculpts (a helmet reveal will suffice)

6 interchangeable hands as you can pose him more with those

lights on the body, a nice touch imho

Id also go for

leather boots
leather belt
full straps on shin armor
metal details
metal saber clip
metal saber hilt

If its affordable, if your spending money on a custom Vader then the extras define it imo

Ive a Hurricane Vader on order, dont have one in hand yet (however Im hoping to have it very soon), but these are what Id go for

I'm also new to the 1/6 bandwagon so I'm unfamiliar with the 2 Medicom versions but I know enough that they have removable helmets. I also think the arms are scrawny. The upcoming Sideshow Vader doesn't seem to have a removable helmet but he looks really butch.

Plus it has one thing the Medis don't have: an accurate color scheme for the face mask. When shooting "A New Hope," they decided to color Vader's mask in an asymmetrical and alternating color scheme of gloss black and gun metal (or dark gray?). Meaning if the left side cheek is black, the right side would be gun metal, and so forth. This was done to simulate a high-gloss and high-reflective look to the mask and because a solid black face mask didn't film well. SS captured the look so well in their new figure.

The Sideshow Vader looks like the one to get. I got my Storm Trooper last week and it's great. The size and look are right.

Its kinda interesting that most people chooses the sideshow one as their ultimae 1/f vader.

Is it because of the price factor? So is it safe to say that if price wasn't an issue then they'd be picking up hurricane's custom vader?
