Great updates, tin. I'm so tuned-in on your progress, I'm going to go crazy waiting to see more while your other work keeps you away.

How did you make the emblems on the gloves? Hand-painted? decals? They look good, but I hope to see a close up when possible.

Thanks Anthrapoid! The emblems on the gloves are for how just simplified shapes that I will paint to match the gloves. I may paint on the emblem details, but honestly at that size and matching color with the gloves - the details may not even be decipherable.

Wasn't home most of the evening - so decided to take a bunch of pics while watching SNL. Face paint isn't 100% done yet so I haven't applied dull coat - that's why Kane looks a little too sweaty (and tanned) in these.
With the extended legs - the figure has a more natural balance now.

Absolutely awesome! He really does look out of place though, on your desk...I think you ought to build a egg chamber (with laser layer of course) for Kane to lean into, from a little slimy ledge. Tense, see?

And see the insane offers to buy roll in then!

Skerritt, Cartwright and Hurt all complained about the spacesuits being difficult to wear and very hot, poorly ventilated. I would guess the "sweaty" look is pretty spot on. The biggest thing that might trick you into thinking it doesn't look right is it's not under blue studio lights. Perhaps you should have Station make you a blue lit acrylic case to showcase the piece.

Oh yeah. All the pics I've seen of them in the suits; they all look pissed off or exhausted. There's only one pic of Cartwright I've seen where she's smiling in the suit. I want to tone down the sweatiness of the hs a bit though. Too much and it looks plastic.

You're right - I've taken some shots of the suit under dark conditions like in the movie and it looks so much better. I have an idea for a display case in mind - but have to find time to make it.
