His replacement is even worse. If that is possible.

More relentlessly condescending, that's for sure.

Anyway, I content that it's not "beating a dead horse" unless Sideshow addresses the issue one way or another. It's not over until they fix it... or say that they won't.

You won't know until you ask. That's all I'm saying.

if i genuinely truly and totally didn't fully completely trust and believe the josh had retired, i'd be suspicious he created himself a fresh pseudonym account in oh i don't know .. august 2008?

I got much better things to do. I just spoke my mind. If everyone else had a problem that was their problem.

Some of you really need to get off things. Jesus its a toy forum and I spoke my mind about toys. I love how I'm supposed to be some real piece of ^^^^ person because I spoke my mind. :lol

Thanks Carl.

Edit: I love it even when I pretty much stick to myself I get pot shots. Man I'm ^^^^ed either way. :lol

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I personally think that's a little overboard to expect perfection out of anything for that price as we're getting a damn good deal for $90. Medicom or HotToys would be reaming us an extra $60-$80, near double the price. Besides, does perfection even exist? I thought the HT TDK was perfect but the thread was locked because of certain people who didn't think it was even close.

$90 is a lot of money, especially for a toy. Its a bunch of plastic and paint and the fact that Hot Toys and Medicom are more overpriced than SSC is irrelevant. Now to me it doesn't really matter. For my tastes it looks enough like a clone trooper not to bug me but I can't speak for everyone else and their $90 and their desire for an accurate figure.

Like I said ealier, I believe the Utapau will be inaccurate but I believe they will adjust the rest.

Well, by that rational "plastic and paint," I guess Sideshow's PF Boba Fett was a toy as well, and that was what, $275? As far as Medicom and HotToys being "over priced," it is relevant. I was referring to the cost factor and what you get for your money's worth. What your getting for $90 is comparable, and in some ways better, to what the others offer at nearly double the price. But since I can actually hear all the panties bunching around us :)p) I'll just say I agree to disagree.

PF Boba and this guy are apples and oranges. Boba was a one shot deal, with 4000 made. They developed this body and since it premiered we have had Obi Wan, Stormtroopers, Utapau Clone Trooper, TFU Stormtrooper. Thats 14,000 that we know of and lets assume 3000 more of TFU. The development costs have been spread over 17,000 figures and I think it's safe to assume we will have several thousand more clones in this first year. So the actual cost per figure is well below $90. When your profit greatly outweighs your cost, its overpriced. These companies charge this much for these figures simply because "we" pay it. A lot of work goes into them no doubt, but in the long run, these are fancy GI Joes at four times the price.

The armor on the Clones and Stormtroopers is quite different, but they do share the same new armored base body that was co-designed by Hot Toys.

...sigh... and how much of that cost do you think goes to Licensing fees? Anyway, calling these pieces fancy G.I. Joes gives me more insight into your mentality than I wanted.

So again, please, for the sake of starting a big ol' session that's going to have you whining to the admins, giving Irish another opportunity to try to rub his taint all over me or my collectibles :)p), giving Evilface an excuse to post more redundantly humorless one-liners and upsetting Josh even further for far-reaching comparisons, let's agree to disagree.

Not as much as some of you think.

People play hot potato with the blame game and toss it in LFL's direction far too often around here. Sometimes, Sideshow themselves are the reason behind some of the decisions we don't like and can't understand.

Hell would freeze over before I whined to anyone.

And sorry to break it to you but every high end 12" 'Action Figure' started with GI Joe. These are better made, more detailed, more intricate, and much more expensive but in the end they ARE fancy GI Joes or more accurately, dolls.

Bro, they started with Barbie. Mattel wanted to license a doll to boys along the same lines, and rather than call it that, also coined the term "action figure."
