that's an interesting point actually. i think because SS have some great licenses and a good price point the "fans complain coz they care" idea holds very true. i find some people have largely giving up on some other companies because of they don't seem to listen. so people stop caring. i don't want to mention any names, in case someone invokes the "slap wildly" button on me.

One company that comes to mind is GG. Which is why I think you see them slowly falling apart. We complained some of us in person but they didn't listen. Now, they get to lay in the bed they made.

Despite my Super Fan status or status as a total ****** bag who thinks SS is perfect I know they're not. I'm glad others are pickier than I am because SS probably wouldn't get better if they had millions of fans like me.

I was being general with that statement. If it hit's home for you, well, that's your own issue, isn't it? And again:

That is exactly the point...
That you feel the need to categorize a group of people and make derogatory remarks about them, it's not about me. I know the stuff I love and get hung up about, but that's the reason I say I'm a big fan of those certain things.
Again, I think you're not only not contributing, you're not getting the point.

But I said that was all I had to say about it, so I'll leave it at that.
PM me if you feel the need.

What you don't understand though is, many of us have been posting here for years and understand how the board works more than newcomers.

Yes, there's an Ask Sideshow section where comments like this would seemingly be best put, but more often, SSC reps come into threads like this one to gauge the overall reaction and you're more likely to get their attention here, plus the Ask Sideshow section often fills with rediculous threads amidst the serious and genuine, making SSC less likely to sift through it all.

This thread is a perfect example, SSC was clearly watching beacuse after an ammount of talk about the problems, someone posted and stepped in.

In the Ask Sideshow section, these points may have gone unnoticed.

Again, there's a way of life around here, and it takes time to learn, I was probably here almost a year before I really knew how things worked among the society here, but I adapted to that, and you will too. Just understand, you've joined a community that flows a certain way, and coming in suggesting how people that have been here a long time should do things is almost like going to someone's house as a guest and telling them how to raise their kids or decorate their home, it doesn't go over well. Be observent of how people do things around here and adjust to that and go with it, it's the best way to enjoy this place.

SSF's long time members are like a collective person, they are how they are, they're not going to change, and you can accept them as they are or not, but if you try to change them, it's not going to bode well.

I didn't see these issues posted there. And really? Why not make it easier for them so they don't have to sift through 88 pages of hateful, unproductive product-bashing posts. Just ask them? You say it doesn't work, but as a "long time forum member" you clearly saw that the Patient Zero/Patient X question was answered in a matter of hours. If it's important enough, I'm more than certain, you'll get a response.

I want to ^^^^ on the faces of whoever approved that helmet sculpt.

Nah. I can't even tell it was inaccurate. I just wanted to say the nastiest thing I can think of because it makes me feel good.

I'm not that long term, but I believe the days of the Patient Zero were much different times with far less people here and the works. I've been posting since 2006 and the majority of that time, the successes I've seen come from the threads in the dedicated sections about the specific product.

Bottom line, like I said, don't keep trying to suggest how people should do things around here, sit back, observe how things are done, let people say and think what they want and you'll be met with less hostility than you are.

:lol Awesome.

And I wouldn't ^^^^ on the faces of whoever approved this sculpt, either. But I would recommend a good Optometrist. :lecture

I'll be amazed if SSC alters the helmet sculpt for subsequent releases. I'm just pessimistic that way I guess.

An entire line of Clone Troopers with an incorrect helmet? That simply cannot happen.

Ya. I'm confident future ones will be corrected, but Utapau will likely be a sacrifice, but maybe that was a plan. Perhaps they knew we'd be super scrutinizing it so they went in steps to test out the Clones on us. First Clonobi to see if we spoke up about the armor and overall figure look on the armor body, then a less important Clone for reactions on the helmet and gun. Then take it all into consideration to make the most important Clone figures the best they can be, it'd be a smart move.

Just saying it from history...

That godawful, overgrown, ugly, open, left hand they've got has been ridiculed from day 1 and its been included with virtually every figure since.

If they are unwilling to have a sculpt and mold redone for a tiny hand, I don't see anyway they are going to pay someone big bucks to resculpt and then remake molds for the helmet.

I'd say that's a matter of taste though. I've never seen that hand the way a lot of folks talk about it around here, and maybe SSC didn't see a reason enough to change it, certainly didn't hurt sales, with other hands, one isn't going to make folks pass on figures.

A helmet that has a definitive structure to match that isn't matched is more likely and more important to fix. Plus the helmet being the face of the Clones, it's important to get the look right.

I agree that the degree of seriousness is greater, but a trend is a trend is a trend.

If they don't fix small stuff, I'm not overly confident big stuff will be. Again, I'm a pessimist though.

I think SSC was probably really thrilled at the prospect of making 1 helmet that can be spread over several figures, thus saving them expensive sculpt and tooling costs. Its going to hurt to have to sink those costs again. Its a test for sure.

I'm sure Irish will say if that were the intent, attention should have been paid to get all the details right, and I'd agree. If you're trying to make a template, you want to get it all right up front, nothing sucks more than having a template and then having to make additions, subtractions or changes after starting to use it. Not condeming Sideshow for the helmet or anything, just saying, smart practics is if you're going to recycle something, you want it to be its best up front.

And thats where my pessimism comes in and says that SSC likely believes that what they produced up front did cut the mustard and thus they won't backtrack and invest more into this. If they don't fully sell out the Utapua I think you're likely to just see a decrease in edition size of the next clone before you see a correction.

Errmm I joined further up the page,

and I guessed from some posts there was issues over screen accuracy on the figure

jibes against each other aside

what were the issues just so I know myself

A small pointier front and round respirators whereas the "screen accurate" shots people have been posting, have a flat top.
