There's something funky about the helmet; it doesn't look right. Of course we need more pictures, but from what I see on the preview, it doesn't look right.
I agree, it doesn't sound like there will be an exclusive version, if they are making it available in the newsletter. The days of SW PPO's and reasonable ES's (the lower, the better) are over... . Perhaps SSC is going the HT path: put the item up for order, and sell as many as you can. And, do a second run if needed!

I was just thinking a week ago when SS would finally open the floodgates on clone troopers, and here it is. Let's hope the quality on these are good. At 2/3 or even 3/4 the price of a Medicom trooper they should be a good deal.

Pricing on these should be equal to, possible lesser than Stormies. There are many more figures can be made from this armor and body suit than Stomtrooper gear, the Clone Commanders alone can use it all as base gear, so you've got like half a dozen figures can be built off of these parts which should allow a spreading of costs over several instead of piled into one piece.

THAT sounds nice. But knowing SSC, they'll take every $ from us they can. They know that people continue buying, even after the continuous price increases. Why take a step back now? $89.99 it will be! Unless the price of oil goes up again... Than it will be $5 more of course.

The part over the "nose" of the mouth area looks a bit strange, but could just be the way the shadow and light are falling.

i dont really like the PT stuff but i would love to have a cody and rex with REMOVABLE helmets. that would be amazing and would be one step forward to competing with hot toys i think.

This looks awesome, and even though all I wanted were commanders, my will is slipping. Damn it.

There is something about the helmet that looks off. It's kind of a reversal of the problem with the stormtrooper helmet. On the stormtrooper, the jaw looked to big. But, on the clones, the jaw was supposed to be bigger. On this one, the jaw looks smaller, as if it has a stormtrooper jaw. Does anyone see what I mean?

Not complaining though. Just an observation.

Are we sure there will be an exclusive, I was figuring it would just be a regular release figure. Could be wrong, but that was the way it read to me.

Either way... not sure if I'll order or not, but probably will just to have the option (especially if there is an exclusive) and wait and see if more interesting variants come out or if I can just get a plain B&W.

Out of curiosity... is there a lot of difference between the AOTC Clones and ROTS; besides the helmet of course.

Its going to be a regular release, or site exclusive at the most. No PPO symbol for a SW figure clearly means no exclusive version.

Not to derail, but if Cody is on deck soon, I really hope they treat the head portrait situation similar to how Leia/Boussh was. A helmet-free sculpt (scars and all!) and a post to transfer the hollow (properly scaled) helmet onto.
I really want my on-shelve display pose with him to be helmet-under-right-arm, left arm reaching out with Kenobi's saber hilt..."I think you'll be needing this!"

Have any of you eagle-eyed observers paying attention to the Prometheus body's progress noticed weather the neck-to-body area will allow that?

Back to this guy...I can't wait to have this one displayed with ROTS Kenobi...

Yep I see it, thats what making the helmet looks weird.
Overall it looks pretty good except for that small part.

Of course, one big possibility on this 1:6 figure front is that we are going to see a massive chuck of figure announcements based on the endless variants the basic ROTS Clone present....ready for those detofs to look like a bag of skittles exploded in there, folks?

I'm all for more Clones, but I hope they are spaced out with other unique releases that keep the collection brimming with visual variety...some non-human characters would be fantastic...

I will pick and choose carefully, more than likely sticking with ones that will compliment what I have in my collection already. A 501st for Sith Anakin, a Shock Trooper for Darth Sidious, etc...

I was just looking at some of the other Hasbro Clones (ROTS) like Cody, Airborne trooper, ARC & Barc. The basic Clone gear we're getting is basically the base for all of them so it shouldn't be a stretch for Sideshow to add the extras (a unique helmet, shoulder pauldrons, weapons belts, kamas. etc).

We know Sideshow is going to take full advantage of this Clone breakthrough in the 1:6 scale (and why the heck not?)....my hope is that it's tempered with the whole currently available collection in mind or that if something "new" is offered (eg "Gree") that companion pieces aren't too far behind on the release schedule.

We'll see....
