I wouldn't go any higher than $30 on Allura and she's going to be the most expensive. Definitely check for lots though.

Also on the subject of Voltron I stumbled upon a 1986 Toyfair spread featuring a whole slew of new figures including Sven and a new sculpt Princess. Definitely worth a look:

Hey, thanks for that info. I might add a set of the old Voltron figs to my want list as well.

I like the new Mattel ones, but they seem a bit too anime-accurate for me. That style just doesn't really fit in my collection - it's either new, "realistic" or old vintage for me.

Also liked that catalog scan - nice find. I'd really like to pick up some '80s toy catalogs... This promo type of thing might be out of my price range, but even some of the old Sears and Consumers Distributing catalogs would be cool to have for their toy sections... I haven't had any luck but I haven't REALLY been looking, either... Maybe I'll just post an ad on Kijiji, there must be LOADS of these still, maybe in grandparents' houses, lol.

Hoggin' all the trash cans, are ya? :lol Very nice, i'd love one for nostalgia but not at the prices they bring. I do have a loose ring but it's missing the exclusive figures.

are those all factory sealed? such memories

Unfortunately no. Previous Owner opened them to check them out I guess. Still mint and unplayed with.

There were a few more of the cans in the lot but I let my friend have some.

They look pretty cool, but I honestly can't remember these guys form the 80's - though the years they were in production I was already out of the toy world. ;) I'm going to hit youtube to see if I can find any ads that might ring a bell.

For those not following the Masters of the Universe Classics thread Mattel just revealed a prototype "Jumbo Vintage 12 inch Skeletor" (think GG's Jumbo SW figures) to gauge interest. What do you guys think?

Oh man... I'd want a Skeletor and that's it. I'll wait for it to hit Big Lots...

Beast Man for me. I still remember NOT getting him at Service Merchandise.

Ahh, I loved that place. You'd walk in and it was all catalogs and they place your order and they'd bring it out of the back. I used to get Star Wars figures there.

Vintage MOTU is my favorite line of all time so I will buy every 12" Mattel puts out.

I saw Funko's Retro Action figures in person at Toy Fair. Except for the Alien line, which was based off actual prototypes (the reason they look so good), the other lines are absolutely horrible. They do not capture the vintage kenner look at all. They look like cheap dollar store figures. It's a shame a more competent company didn't get the license to do this as I really like the idea.

I only snapped pics of Marty and Doc. It just wasn't worth taking any more pics.

Honestly, I don't think they look that bad but I'll have to judge for myself in person. I'm still in.

Picked this up. Had this game when I was a kid, and loved it. Not quite as exciting now. :lol But still nice to have. In good shape and complete with instruction booklet. Jaws the Game.jpg
