From an engineering stand point, there is no question inmy mind, it has to be Dallas.
Likeness is there as well, and value. It simply is a fantastic figure.
Figures like Indy and BR Joker don't even come close to Dallas IMHO. They're very cool, and have great likeness, but are nowhere near as innovative as Dallas.
Gandalf is a close second to me, because of the amount of research and the excellent materials used.

I have to agree with you. Dallas is an amazing feat and the most impressively engineered figure. Great likeness and detail. Articulation is hindered a bit, but freakin lights!

Joker has perfect execution as well but is a much cooler, iconic character. 2 amazing heads and fantastic accessories. Plus he's got the buzz of a great film that came out this year as well as an amazing performance by Heath to back it up.

Cannibal Jack is another perfectly executed figure with a great attention to detail. Amazing materials and like Joker, they improved the likeness in V2. If he'd come with the coat and hat as well he'd come a little closer to Joker and Dallas.

My favorite character of those is Gandalf. I'd like to vote for him but he just isn't as well done as Dallas, Joker and Jack.

Indy is nice, but misses too many little details for the prize.

He just barely edges out Dallas's impressive engineering, but this is definitely the year of Mr. J! :rock

as much as i love the TDK figures and the whole dark knight thing, in terms of pure 1/6 greatness and milestones i think cannibal jack was a leap forward. accessories, outfit, sculpt - all spectacular. i think we'd never have had something as exceptional as BR Joker without cannibal jack setting the standard first. i remember it got much love when it was released, but as it was earlier on i think people have forgotten about it slightly.

just how indiana jones got so many votes i have no idea. mine had poor paint, ridiculously crap joints and imperfect outfitting. amazing sculpt but very little else going for it. and with the price increase in SS figures too, i'd put it somewhere near the bottom of the pile. maybe it's getting more votes because its a recent figure and there's still a buzz about it. i guess that's always a problem with these polls.

Straight out of the box: HT Bankrobber Joker (but prefer the purple classic clothes of version 1)

But the figure that surprised me the most was the SS Indy.
Sculpt is really really nice and I was lucky with the paintjob it came.
It can easily be saved by a HT body.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Boy this was a tough call...seeing that list made me realize how many great 1/6 figures came out last year.
I had to vote for the Joker though....the sculpt and detail in everything was just amazing.

I went with BRJ. don't actually have it in hand yet (tomorrow) but from all I've seen all I can say is :woo Dallas is a very under rated figure.. that sculpt is spot on. cannible Jack is very nice but the fact that he can't hold his staff put me off. the whole POTC line looks great together. is strange that no Predator related figures were represented..:huh Machico = :rock

Voted Gandalf!! :rock
I think it's the best figure because of all the accessories, perfect sculpt, awesome tailoring, and the complexity of it and how SS managed to accomplish it is just amazing!

I'm surprised so many people voted for Indy,
I mean, the figure is great and sculpt is awesome, but it takes
a lot of customization to make it look perfect! Besides, the Pro body su cks!!

As for BR Joker, well... in reallity, only the headsculpt and mask make it a great figure, every thing else is pretty generic IMO, though greatly executed by HT...
I think if V1 version was originally released with V2 head, then that would be a much better figure...

I went with Indy.

Folks have been posting some knock-out images of the BR Joker and he looks great, and Gandalf is just an amazing and well-crafted success, but it was Indy's year and Sideshow did a great job on this figure...

Head's too big, hands too small. Fail.

Clearly BR Joker wins...

Wonder what we'll all think this time next year?

predator 1 :rock:rock :D

The Predator has potential, the ALIEN will likely win some favor if done well, Iron Man's are coming. I just thought about it tonight, we'll likely get a Wolverine from the new film since HT does have Marvel for 1/6 at least with Iron Man. If Sideshow's Vader turns out well, that'll definitely be a runner.

Iron Man will surely be in the top 3 or so.

I agree that Predator 1 and ANH Vader are likely. Hopefully HT knocks it out of the park with Watchmen figures in 09. :rock
