I'm going to making my first trip to Disneyland for my 30th birthday. March of 2013. I can't wait!

Thats funny, my next trip to Disneyland is going to be April of 2013 for my 50th birthday!

My next trip to Disneyland will probably be next weekend for the D23 Expo! But I may not go in for that long but it will certainly be an entire weekend of Disney goodness.

Me too. Usually, with my whole family of four in tow, we stay at one of the surrounding cheaper hotels, it's the ONLY way we can afford such a trip. But this time, we will be staying at the historic Disneyland Hotel... hopefully in the original main tower (whatever they are calling it nowdays). I know the Grand Californian is much nicer, but DH has the history behind it. I love looking at that wall of photos of all the famous people who visited Disneyland during the past 55 years. I don't know if we will ever be able to afford GC... perhaps when it's just me and the missus.

It was agonizing to be at SDCC this year... for one, Disney pulled out completely from presenting any panels. Last year at SDCC we at least had the Tron panel and the Hanted Mansion announcement to enjoy. This year nothing! And secondly, to be THAT close to the new Star Tours and NOT RIDE IT!!!

Thanks, Protozaius! I will do my bestest! As for the announcements, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney's team of social networking peeps tweet, blog, release everything that is mentioned before any of the press sites can announce it themselves.

Before I do, here's some pics of Disney California Adventure I shot on Saturday.

The Disney Animation room is a pretty great attraction, one of the few that were when the park opened in 2001. It's actually home to several smaller attractions within.

Across the street are some of Hollywood Pictures Backlot's own Hollywood-esque facades. Not sure what the future of these will be when it makes the full change into HOLLYWOOD LAND.

Where I had my dinner: Corn Dog Castle, also a resident from the 2001 opening but got a face lift after Mermaid opened.

The new Paradise Pier eateries are behind this arcade of seating areas. Paradise Grill and Paradise Pizza & Pasta are residents. Sure beats what used to be there, Burger Invasion (McDonald's) and Pizza Oom Mow Mow.

Drinking at my favorite bar: TRADER SAM'S ENCHANTED TIKI BAR. Here, Disney Legend Bob Gurr shows off his love of the place. (inside, drank it up with John Lasseter and other Imagineers. No pics from my camera I'm afraid).

Our annual passes expired last November, and we haven't been back since. I'm getting really anxious to return and check out the new Star Tours and Little Mermaid.

Do you guys still get to ride in the cockpit, or do you know someone who pulled some strings? We can't ride up front anymore since the accident a few years ago.
