I just finished reading an interview about the movie and I'll type parts of it verbatim below. Personally I think there's plenty to be concerned about as far as changes, but overall I think Snyder is trying his best. It sounds as though the studio is going to get a lot of what they want as well though....

"Sure, there have been changes. The catastrophic climax is different. Provactive bits, like a timely subplot about alternative fuels, have been added."

I was actually just scanning through my copy last night and read a scene between Dr Manhattan and the first Nite Owl about Owl retiring and wanting to work on cars since they haven't changed much, and Manhattan informing him that cars will now all be electric because he can now synthesize the massive amounts of lithium required for cars to become electric.
There is something about alternative fuel in Watchmen, I wonder how intrusive this will be in the movie version?

Great news about Hot Toys Watchmen figures, I can't wait to see those!

This film inspired me to give a shot at my wife's hobby of painting Munnies. She laughed a little because my lines were all off but I like my WIP of Dr. Manhattan:

I bought a couple of those for my wife....she loves this stuff. I haven't received it yet but I might steal one away....Indy's fedora might be neat for a Rorshach custom piece...

Everybody go and reread part five, Fearful Symmetry, and admire how the entire chapter itself is actually symmetrical, with the panel layout and content mirroring itself; last page to first, etc.

It's stuff like that you don't catch the first time around.
