how does this compare scale wise to the sideshow maquette series? if they are the same scale, it becomes a bit more attractive for me.

Gollum is about the same size as Frodo/Sam. The difference is more the bases as I've said before.

I think Gollum would go well with the Frodo and Sam maquette, gives something for Sam to be reacting to

Excellent photos Josh! Did the statue come in two pieces, i.e. Gollum and rock, and the base (with the metal peg)? Such a dynamic pose, I like it! Looks fragile especially on that foot connected to the rock (but with that metal armature for support, it shouldn't be a worry). Can't wait for mine (it hasn't started shipping yet ). Btw, cute dogs on the background!

Thanks! Much happier with my Gollummphotos than my Frido/Sam ones (most of them anyways). It comes in two pieces with the base/rock being one and Gollum being the other. Thanks! They decided to make an appearance in most of the shots.
