I read it ages ago, so I don't remember much, but it was one of my father's favourite books.

I really don't know how I've managed to not read it, I've read alot of other Classic SF books.

If you're into Sci-Fi, I'd highly recommend Aldiss' Helliconia trilogy.
Frigging masterpiece. I actually like it better than Dune.
I also recommend Simmons' Ilium and Olympos. Magnificent books.

Finished Canticle, great read.

Dracula was abit slow for me though but I guess it's because I pretty much know all the story already.

Starting to read Too Like the Lightning now.

Finished 'Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger' revised edition. Not my fav King book. Liked parts, but it was a tad too insipid for my tastes.Parts better than others. I did, however, liked the overall idea of a western crossed with light sci-fi.

Decided to read all the king books in order of release. Read carrie long ago.

Reading 'Salem's Lot' - good thus far. Classic King all the way!

Salem's Lot is great. One of my faves!
As for the Dark Tower series, there's some really great books in the series, and then some are so-so. Off the top of my head, The Drawing of the Three and Wolves of the Calla are some of the best.

Awesome, I've heard that Drawing of the Three is good. Decided to read King in order of books released, so the Shining is next. Love Salem's Lot. 40% complete, according to my e-reader

Been catching up on the TMNT/Batman: The Animated Series crossover. I've liked it better than the original crossover from last year.

Also reading Extremity from Image comics. Interesting story.

Currently midway through The Hanging Tree by Ben Aaronovitch, the latest of his Rivers of London novels and enjoying it's mad hilarious take on London and British society immensely again. (Terribly I've had the hardback on my to-read pile for long enough that the cheaper paperback is now out...)

I'm also a couple of chapters into The Leviathan Wakes, the first of The Expanse novels - which I fully admit I'm reading after having seen S1 of the show, but not S2 since it isn't actually out in the UK yet. Enjoying the relatively realistic take on humanity's early years in the stars quite a bit as well as it's more subtle brand of humour.

I'm reading Stephen King's IT right now. Just a couple more hundred pages to go. I'll probably go for Needful Things after that one.

Same here, I hope the movie really delivers. Been a long time since I've seen a truly good horror film.
IT will always be a great story.


Sill getting through The History of Middle Earth, Vol. 2.
It almost borders an academic study of the literature, from the point of conception moving forward but I like it.
