Baptism of Fire - the 5th Witcher book or the 3rd full length novel. Similar to the games yet different......Zoltan has yet to make a single appearance in any book and here I thought he was a main character!

Finished book 6 in the Witcher series, 'Tower of Swallows'

Last book hits next week. It's weird having played the games, now being close to having read the whole series of books!

I know everybody hates Tool, but after reading A perfect union of contrary things, his point of view makes sense.

I give credit to Maynard, I saw a Perfect Circle in Irvine years ago (good show) and while I'm not a huge Tool fan I thought 10,000 Days was a good album. Tool Definitely has a heavy unique sound, maybe an acquired taste for some.

I loved Tools first album (I think it was their first. The first that came to my attention anyhoo)... But it became the only CD from my personal collection that I ever gave away. I didn't like how it made me feel yucky. Not depressed. Just yucky.

On Book 7 of the Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski - came out yesterday, but I was so impatient, I downloaded a fan translation in the interim. LOL. I've actually found the fan translations to be the superior version in some cases....

I've heard there is a book 8, but takes place during the first two short story ones....

10,000 Days is the only Tool album I own. After giving it a good listen I came to like it more over time but it's not something I listen to all the time. Again, I think they have a unique sound that you either like or don't.
System of a Down has a similar type of "sound" in that way (like or dont) but I was never really a fan of that band.

Ichi-F, a manga about the cleanup at the ***ushima Daiichi power plant after the meltdowns caused by the tsunami. The author is one of the people that worked at the plant during the cleanup process.

Pretty interesting.

The Fifth Season...N. K. Jemisin.

Not sure so far....totally new world, with some familiar ideas...

The Body Builders: Inside the Science of the Engineered Human by Adam Piore.

Pretty interesting so far after 2 chapters. The first thing I'd have replaced are my eyes.

Reading a decent vamp book, the Darkening. Reminds me off the Del Torror/chuck hogan trilogy, but a little more straightforward. For a $5 ebook price, its been a fun read....

Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue, based on the novel by Eiji Yoshikawa, which is based on the life and times of Miyamoto Musashi. Arguably the greatest swordsman ever.

After about a year of only listening to audiobooks (and mostly relistening to books Ive already heard) and podcasts I decided to get back to reading in time for my vacation.

Currently reading Dracula and A Canticle for Leiobowitz.
