I'd put my vote in for Tourist Trap. Movie terrified me when I was a kid... friggin creepy @$$ mannequins...

I remember catching the unnamable when i was a kid and thought it seemed terrifying. I've wanted to see it again, never gotten around to it though. Im sure it wont be quite as terrifying as i remembered but hopefully might still be enjoyable.

The whole movie's in the sale of the creature. I saw the suit at a haunted house a few years back. It's still creepy enough to sell the movie.

I just watched the trailer for this on youtube and noticed this in the comments. :lol

" Since watching this movie, I can't go in the basement to look for something-then close the lights-then walk up the stairs. I literally scramble up the steps because i think the Unnamable is going to get me.

I'm also 29 years old. How pathetic is THAT?! "

Yeah, they did such an amazing job on the creature suit. Add to that the perfect lighting and environment the movie had for the suit and it's pretty obvious why it still stands up today.

Been looking for it on dvd but cant find it cheap. :( Lame. I really wanna pick this up now and give it a watch after all these years.

Please, no more remakes. How bout some original stories.

Really good Horror movies are few and far between as it is. When I say Horror, I'm not talking about slasher movies or the recent torture porn movies like Hostel and Saw.

So, instead, here's a list of some great Horror movies that I hope are NEVER remade.

Rosemary's baby
Angel Heart
Jacob's Ladder
The Shining
American Werewolf in London
The Dead Zone
Misery
Alien

Man, I am having trouble thinking of good ones, shows you how rare a great Horror movie is, most of the above are mixed genre

As for remakes, here are a few exceptions though...
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1970's)
The Fly
Dawn of the Dead
The Thing

Yeah, the sequel is everywhere for cheap, but it's nowhere near as good as the original. I hope they reissue it. :(

Yeah i kept seeing the sequel everywhere but wasnt even gonna consider it until i've at least seen the first in full. I'll just have to keep my eyes open for a random bargain if it comes up somewhere on ebay or amazon. Fingers crossed.

Dear Nam, I hate you.

Sincerely, a viewer with good taste. :nana:

I sat through it and at the end was like, "huh... there's time I'll never get back." I look at it like Lost Highway. Doesn't make a ____ing lick of sense and those who said they "got it," outside of being a wacked-out junkie's heroine trip are full of ____. :lol

SPOILERS:

I know it's not all that surprising that we disagree again, but I really think you missed the message of the whole movie. The film is less about the shock of the main character's death at the end, and more about the journey toward accepting that fate. I wouldn't believe you if you told me the ending caught you off guard. The entire film suggests that he's already dead or dying, and by the time the end confirms that fact, we have no real choice but to accept it, almost with a sense of relief, much like Jacob does himself. I personally find the film heartbreaking and extraordinarily bold. Watching Jacob struggle to retain his humanity, his memories, his friends, family, his pull toward affection and sexuality, and his decision to let it all go... Simply heartbreaking. The metaphor in which he is given in the final moments of the film, regarding the demons that are pulling his life away from him, and that once he stops fighting them, he sees them for angels, that are really freeing him from the earth. Beautiful writing, and execution. The film is scary, and devastating all at once. Tim Robbins' performance here is top notch. Personally, it's even served to help me accept issues in my own life and past, and while I understand if it's not your cup of tea, I think it's a perfect film.

He should remake Frankenstein. Instead of a castle on a hill, he could set the lab in the security guard shanty in the middle of the trailer court. Then all the antics could occur not in a small village in a European country but all throughout the trailer park and the surrounding ghetto. Instead of a burning windmill--the monster could meet his end in a burning meth lab. In the sequel, instead of his first words being such heartfelt words as "friend" and "good" they could be _____* and you.

Just kidding. Keep Rob Zombie away from everything. He can be a fan all he wants but keep his lsd shattered mind away from the classics. Its too late for Michael. Rob Zombie did what bullets, fire, falls, vehicular homicide, stabbings, and a couple horrible sequels could not do. He killed Michael Myers.:thud::thud::lecture:peace
