I Enjoyed Terminator 3 when I first saw it in the theater, but the re watch value is not very strong. If Linda was in it, it may have been better. But overall not the worst movie I have ever seen. More of a Nostalgic Movie, alot of re hashed jokes and punchlines. Some plot holes. IE: He seemed to have the memory from the T2 Terminator, although it wasnt the same Machine. Let us wait to see Terminator Salvation before we go praising it. Christian Bale is awesome, and the special effects seem to be good. But again, Arnie, Nice action sequence and good effects for T3 and it was EHHH. So I will go into Salvation with little expectations, and hopefully come out pleasently surprised. :banghead

Oh yes he can. In fact, he's a far...far greater actor then Arnold could ever dream to be.

Arnold was in T3 mind you.....and look how that turned out.

bale to me is just too wooden. arnold has that movie magic thing about him cuz...hes arnold. hes the terminator, predator killer, total recall, running man, BADASS froom my youth. bale is a poor choice to replace him, even if he is considered a better actor, to me he is just more on the wooden side.

there really isn't much point in coming on here and trying to argue against Bale's acting ability, or comparing him with Arnold.
it will sound silly no matter what you say. the best way to get out of a hole is to quit digging.

are you kidding? i can say what i want cuz its my opinion. dont agree with me? tough, free country. lol "diggin my hole", yeah right. arnold is more likeable then bale, i have yet to see a film beyond american psycho where he impressed me. in batman he was playing pinnochio, in equilerium he was a big oak tree, and everything else he was just a small tig. if batman wasnt as successful as it was then i doubt he'd be as popular as he is now. gotta be the mosyt overrated actor ive ever seen.

I enjoyed T3 when it hit. I tried to watch it the other night, and I find it deeply unwatchable.

Not having Sarah Connor in it sucked for me

Not having actor Edward Furlong in it didn't help

Having actress Clare Danes in it REALLY does NOT help it....

TX was fine....

Humor was very hit and miss

Arnie was best thing in it, but they should have changed up his terminator more from the second. Felt like the same exact one...

You can say what you want...and we can say what we want. You are diggin a hole, because a ton of people here are big Bale fans. Me included.

And duh, of course he was wooden in EQ. EMOTIONLESS......

Yes Arnold is likeable, but in almost all his films he's playing Arnold Schwarzenneger, most of the time you leave the movie not even remembering the name of the character he played. He's always refered to as Arnie.

Bale however is one of the finest popular actors of his generation, with a broad range and able to pick up accents and make it sound masterful. Plus a total dedication to the role he's playing which is very apparant when you watch films like The Machinist or Rescue Dawn

Bale won me over with The Prestige. I liked him before for American Psycho and The Machinist, but The Prestige really closed the deal for me.

Bale = totally sweet. :monkey3

ummm no. arnold also has a pretty wide range of roles, hes done action sure, but also comedies, some drama, a little of everything except for horror, i dont think he ever did that. but bale, while i can admit hes a bit better at it, the thing both actors share is failure to emote. arnold shows more emotion then bale everytime he screams or shows a fit of rage or anger. bale.......always....looks...the same...i never see him change that stony expression. he probably emoted better in the batman mask but we werent able to see him. bale sleepwalked through TDK but, like arnold, only seemed to shine when he was in a fit of rage (like in the interrogation room). i still think michael keaton showed the most emotion in the cowl then any other batactor. only movie ive ever seen bale NOT be bale was american pshycho. he was great in that, but i wish he was just as great in other films. i havent seen it, hes always the same. bale could very well be the next arnold, emotionless asskicking which is what bale has done.

what about that movie where he get shot down in the plane, and gets thrown into a prisoner of war camp, he was pretty good in that.

havent seen that. looked pretty good though, will give it a try. i want to believe bale can be "not bale".

:lol:rotfl Wall of text! Since you dont use punctuation I'm not going to read it.....but i'm sure its quite humorous. Arnold has no range, he's been in different types of films, but he's ALWAYS Arnold. Always.

Doesnt mean he isnt awesome....but ya know.

That was Rescue Dawn, is a good film.

But did some research and it's upset the families of the people it's based on by making them seem like cowards etc. when they weren't.

But like Celtic said Arnold's been in lots of different types of films, but it's just a different degree of Arnold, it's either happy Arnold or angry Arnold.

Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing the guy he's a legend and will always be the king of the action movie. But he's not an actor, he is however a fantastic entertainer.

...or according to The Third Rock from the Sun manual "an incredibly expensive special effect" :lol

just wanna chime in again to say that T3 is utter crap. dont try and justify it. T4 will probably be crap as well. just because bale is in it doesnt mean it will be good. who is bale anyway? i've never heard of him before batman and i'm sick of all the teenage batman worshipping geeks praising him up like he's the second coming.
