Before any of them were released, I would have put DCD at the bottom of the list. Now it's Medicom.

With such a piss poor picture, why even bother?

Whos pictures yours or Medicoms?

No matter how good the picture, Medicoms body IS OFF. No debating that, and I like medicom. HT is in scale, in proportion and looks natural and realistic.

Even good quality pictures aren't going to change the proportions of the figure, they are way off in to many areas. Too small of fists, and Superman is wearing a turtle neck for some reason. Is he cold?

I feel for the Medicom group over this figure. he is a very poor figure given the price he will be coming in at.

,..and the shorts are wrong too on the medicom,..it's too big,..looks like an underwear...this medicom superman it's all wrong,.... it's a horrible figure,... :monkey2

All of these look pretty bad IMO. They are just off.

The HT one is better but nothing special.

Maybe if you actually had one you could make that assumption...

most all of us who do, don't. :D

Yeah, the Medicom RAH body is fantastic looking bare.... but whatever they used for Supes is just silly. He looks strange.... The sculpt isn't terrrible, but not great. If the body was a little better it would not be as bad, but that's not the case.

My HT version is the best Superman IMO and I could not be happier in my decision. :monkey1

I also think that HT figure is better than Medicom in many ways, but I'd like to see a repaint version of the Medicom's head. Remember that Hot Toys has a good head sculpt but a paint job not so good.
I remember I saw a good set of photos of the repainted head of HT's Routh and that made de difference. Well, I want to see what happens with the Medicom version. I have to say that I like the cape and the "S" in the chest, but the rest is very disappointed to me :monkey2 .
I thing HT has surpassed Medicom in this line of movies characters. I hope Medicom do something for the future of this kind of line products. We all will be happy if both companies competed at the same quality level.

I absolutely love my HT Supes. The headsculpt isn't perfect but it isn't bad either. Better than a lot of SS's sculpts but also worse than some, so I put it somewhere in the middle. The outfit and the body are wonderful. I love it!! Couldn't be happier and those that bash him just haven't seen him in person in my opinion. Like a BMW, he looks better in person. The Medicom one is just off. Sure he has a nice cape and the HS is the best of the three in my opinion but that's it. The rest of the figure is just off. Overall, the outfit isn't as nice, the body just doesn't look right at all, and the hands are too small. All of this and I haven't even taken into account the small body. It's a shame that Medicom doesn't use a bigger body so a everyone could just concentrate on the figure itselft. Even figuring that in though, he loses. It's a shame because I remember when they were the "premiere" 12" action-figure company. I use to own the Harlock, both Bond figures, Black Jack, etc. I really use to look forward to their releases...a lot. Now, I still have the Bruce Lee, the Gatchaman figures, the Freddy, the Neo, the Trinity, and the Spiderman. With the exception of the Gatchaman and Spiderman figures, the rest of them are doomed to storage.

Cheers,

Brad

That’s what makes me sad :monkey2. I also used to see Medicom as the Nº1 company with a good quality line of 1:6 scale figures. But now I had to think twice when I think in the possibility of buying any of their products.

Not it doesn't. Dude, that pic is photoshopped.

EDIT: CF apparently deleted his post and the pic. Nevermind. Move along... move along...

Someone photoshopped a pic of the Medicom to make the stomach area more proportionate and the turtleneck tucked in:

If the figure actually looked like that then I wouldn't have nearly as many issues with it. Well, except for the blonde eyebrows.

Ok, someone asked about HT HS repaints...

Here are two of the best I've seen:

This appeared on the Asian Boards and is excellent.

And here is Les Walker's (Figure Master Les)

I'm partial to Les, I think he is truly a "Master"!

The HT HS is clearly there IMHO.

Wow.....the repaint by Les is so life-like.....I can see Routh now more clearly! See....there's nothing wrong with the HT HS.....just a subpar paint job!:D

Superman should not have such a scowl look on his face. He is not Batman.

I don't see it as a scowl, not when you see some of Dark Artist's amazing flight shots, it doesn't come off that way at all... here's one
