But thanks for the awesome plug on my shot!!! I still love that one the best!! :D
I agree... I think that's one of the best HT pics taken. DA, how you end up posing him in your collection?

Well Batty, I usually rotate... changing the pose almost weekly. Here are some of the latest poses.... Starting with the current one and going towards the older poses...

Nice! I like the crossed arms. Maybe you could pose him so he looks like he's about to push Batman off the DVD player. :lol

Ok, someone asked about HT HS repaints...

Here are two of the best I've seen:

This appeared on the Asian Boards and is excellent.

And here is Les Walker's (Figure Master Les)
HTSR018a.jpg

I'm partial to Les, I think he is truly a "Master"!

The HT HS is clearly there IMHO.

I'm reposting for anyone who may have missed this...

So heres my Final Verdict, altough I have none of them,

Hot toys Superman: Nothing come close to him,he's the best Superman figure ever !!!.

Takara Batman:Altough the Hot toy one is really good also, I would choose the Takara one for the face sculpt which in my opinion is a bit better...

And Medicom has really drop the ball on both of those respective character figures.:monkey4 Thumbs down to that overated company..

If it's not inappropriate after Pjam's kind words regarding my repaint of the HT SR...

I can kind of agree with Shai's comment, even though I missed out on the Takara Batman, have never seen one in person and probably won't...but, I do admit that I love my HT Bats, but he may have a likeness point there as my own repaint of it didn't bring him as far to my idea of dead on likeness as I wanted, and this overdrawn debate about the HT vs Tak Bats is and should be over...
but, this HT Supes is amazing and from all the info I have seen posted lately about the Medicom Supes, MAN AM I GLAD I DIDN'T GET THAT ONE!!!!:monkey5 Whew! I don't think a head repaint can make up for that body!

So, I still like my HT set...it is a nice set...but without a doubt, the HT Supes is a very unique figure in the annals of 1/6 figures. A true acheivement. Sometimes, a company gets it 99% right. There has never been a 100% ever to me, but I can always hope...:D

(ONLY HT Supes criticisms, I think a slightly smaller head would have made the body look bigger and more muscular and more in scale than the existing larger size head does, AND a soft burgandy pleather exterior to the cape...but it still looks great!)

I will admit... that does look better, but it's still hard to get over the body proportions. I think the cape and head are definitely the best part of this figure.

That abdomen of that figure was stuffed to fix the proportion. I think it looks much better.
That's the one thing I still don't understand about the RAH Massive body. Looking at the nude body and Spider-man (in the pics I posted earlier), it doesn't look like it needs to be stuffed. Did the use the RAH Massive or something else?

True, that IS a nice pic....

I still say that the head and cape are the best things here, but I wonder what body they used. It doesn't seem to have the same proportions as the rest of the RAH Superhero bodies do.....

Collectorfreak, I completely get your exasperation here.
I mean, you did buy this figure with good intent and cannot help that the company design has let you down. I felt that way with the DC Direct Batman Begins when I first got it. Nothing on earth seemed to save it.

However, I personally vouch this for you, if you have a good replacement body in hand, a Hot Toys or BBI or something compatible with a Superman body, one that is in true and larger 1/6 scale, and not the smaller one it is now, as Medicoms usually are, and if you are not a company purchase purist, ie. "you feel you must use only the body this figure came with (I replaced my Medicom Rocketeer body with a larger one to great result, see bottom of my webpage here: https://figuremasterles.tripod.com/id22.html, Then....
I am willing, for one time only, just for this one figure, just for you, just this one time, if all to and from shipping charges are paid by you, to assist you in making your Superman be as good as he can be. Just a basic body switchout and use that costume and head and cape. If you are interested, then PM me and we can work it out.

I may even be willing to repaint the head for a nominal fee if you want. But, I will switch the bodies out and remount the head for you for free, just to help you get the best Superman you can get. And, VERY IMPORTANT!, I think that maybe with this Medicom head on a larger body, that you may even have the chance at a more accurate head to body proportion than even the blessed Hot Toys one is!

Then, no more being picked on!

One time offer. Think about it. Or try it yourself!

And, if not, I understand that too. This figure doesn't suck, but it could be SO MUCH BETTER! And, you can still get what you wanted first go round. A diamond is in there somewhere....just not as it is now!:D
