Now I've got a little suggestion from "left field" . I always thought Vince Vaughn would make a good Superman . He's big ( though obviously a little bulking up would be in order ), he's got a sort of non-pretty-boy almost "retro" look to him and he can both act and be funny . Think about it , you all know I'm on to something ! ( Turns off computer and hides behind sofa!!)

Not the best choice, but far from the worst! Much better than some others that have been posted!

I'd rather see Brendan Frasier than Vaughn ... and I'm not really on board with Fraiser. Vaughn has this fast-talking slick used-car-salesman thing about him ... not really a Superman personality. Plus, Vaughn's put on a few pounds, and isn't looking too good lately.

It isn't bashing. I like Vaughn. "Couple's Retreat" is on my list for my wife and I to watch. He's a complete mismatch for Superman, though ... for a lot of reasons (physical, presence and personality).

It doesn't need a freakin' reboot! Superman Returns was NOT the travesty some would lead you to believe. Yeah, it was lacking in action, but it had one hell of a poignant emotional core. And Routh was the perfect successor to Reeve.

Reboot? No. Just continue the series and give the next entry more action.

I love Superman. All of the Reeve's movie's.. Even IV.. I have to say, Superman Returns was a HUGE letdown. I wanted it to be so much more than it was, I was disappointed in the Jesus Christ interpretation of the _____-directors (____-sapiens without the sapiens) movie. Nothing against ____'s but he made Routh into a ____ as I've never seen Superman take it in the rear over Lois the way he did in any iteration of Superman. And the whole premise of the movie where Superman leaves to go look for survivors on Krypton and is gone for 10 years???? What the hell... is all I have to say about that.. Let alone he has a son when he returns and so forth.. Travesty and an abortion of a film. No pun intended. I'm not excited about another re-boot, and personally would rather see Welling as Superman just to give that show some credibility it deserves. Since they brought back so many comic characters too early, it would be interesting to see what villain they can come up with. Hopefully a totally new villain perhaps since Lex is overdone.. If they throw in another Lex Luthor into the next Superman it will bomb the same as the last.. Especially if he's hellbent on attaining real estate. THe Doomsday battle would be cool, however Smallville already dealth with that. However a death of Superman storyline with a whole new actor including a Green Lantern Hal Jordan tie-in (Coast City kaboom) would be cool. Better than the cartoon Doomsday movie which was stupid in my opinion. Ultimately, the wrong choices were made with Superman Returns, the fans like yourself are in the minute minority. I like Routh in Chuck much better and hope he stays on that show for awhile.. Also nothing against African American's either but I sure hope they don't go the WIll Smith route. Keep Superman looking like he always does and keep the mytho's alive.

I was just speaking in general. I wouldn't totally write him off as Superman though. It may be a decent challenge for Vaughn .......... trim up and expand your acting resume past (recent) goofy comedies.

This is coming from a HUGE Vaughn fan ............ ever since Swingers. I think he needs to take a break from any kind of comedy.

Oh and btw, Couples Retreat was weak but it had its moments. It was still a good watch with the wife. Its always fun to see Vaughn and Favreau
together.
