Yay all, I got my butt into the olympics, finally. I watch the trampoline, gymnastics, swimming, volleyball events.

Yes, we have seven medals! Finally, we're going places. A bit upset that our women's softball team lost to the US team 5-4 after having the lead for a good portion of the game.

Good news is, we took a 1st place US women's soccer team and took them to overtime 2-1. Not bad for a Canadian women's soccer squad who have made a first appearance at these Olympics. :rock

it's really weird. i've never been into these (or any other televised sports), but this year i discovered i really enoy watching basketball, soccer (er, football), volley ball and track biking.:D

Congrats to Phelps....Canada are kinda weak at the summer olympics...See you at the Winter olympics where we rule... :rock

They need an collector event in these Olympics.. what do you think Lonnie? How should that be setup?

Well it couldn't be on artistic merit like gymnastics... too subjective with all kinds of scoring problems...

...fastest? Never work!

...biggest collection... hmmm? possible, but then the nation with the most money would always win...

...I've got it! Whoever can hold the most pieces from their collection in two hands will win!!! :D

easy.....events like "pose your figure like this" where the collectors would have their figure in-hand and a picture would flash on the screen and they had to pose it like the picture....score would be based on time, accuracy, and presentation.

also the "unpackaging" event where they have a SS box in front of them and the first one to open, upack, setup and pack the box away wins.

"collector fishing" would be 2 sided....the collectors would have an item to sell on ebay and whoever gets the highest price within a certain amount of time wins...score based on highest price, product description and positive review from the buyer.
The other side to fishing would be to find "X product" for the cheapest on ebay.

We have a winna!!!! I like your competitions way better than mine!!! :D

nice.

what about who can cancel their orders the fastest or chase the FedEx truck because he didn't knock on your door and it was signature required.
you guys are hillarious.:lol

funny you should mention fed ex not knocking. the other day i just got home from work and was entering my house when i looked behind me and saw the fed ex man pull up. so i waited for him behind the screen door. i waited for him to make his way up the walk. but he must have decided that was too far to walk cuz he just threw my package infront of my garage door and left without ringing my door bell. i was like "WTF??" if i hadnt seen him arrive i would never have known a package was there.

12 golds for team GB so far with hopefully more to come. Weve got them convicts er Aussies on the run.:banana

Yeah it's about time you aristocrat snobs did something and its only because your countries splashing funds all over the place.

Man if only we had a portion of the budget that u guys have.Well done though good to see you challenging for a change esp in the cycling.

Yeah, it just shows that theres talent in every country but depends on how much money you throw at it to develope them. Well we got the Aussie monkey off our backs next we'll do the US in London 2012:rotfl:rotfl

Seriously, if "sports" like that are in the Olympics then they need to add SKateboarding, BMX, etc. into the Olympics.

I would have no problem with that. Snowboarding is an olympic event, and skateboarding has been around longer. And it takes a lot of physical effort and skill to do some of the BMX freestyle moves that some of the elitists pull off.
