That's a really good point. Otherwise you need something like a stand to hold up the chest area, and that takes away from the aesthetics. The head on this thing would be fairly beefy, especially compared to the spindly arms/legs.
Of course addition of an egg sack = more plastic = more cash, eh? I still think if this beast hits production we will unfortunately be looking at an easy $300+, without egg sack.

Well of course. The cost versus what they can recoup is always the determining factor.
Believe me, I still hope we'll see a QUEEN one day. I just think it's looking more and more unlikely as time goes by.

Like I said, I think HT knows if they can make it work for them and the collector, the Queen will sell regardless of when that comes, they're still rolling out Alien products. If HT didn't make anything related to the Alien or AVP franchise for over a year, I'd be concerned at that point, but I think the fanbase for all things Pred, Alien and AVP from Hot Toys is the same, so as long as we're with them for the ride now, they know we'll be happy to see the ***** when she's ready.

Well she wouldn't need a stand. To me, if they made her lower body less artiulated and more solid, and made her head out of lighter weight materials, that could work out fine. make the legs in a solid battle pose and firm, and just give solid articulation from the waist up and she'd kick ass.

An egg-sack? Come on guys, are you serious?
That will never happen!
The Queen was SITTING on top of the ovipositor. Indicating that IT was bigger than the Queen itself. The sheer size of it is not cost efficient.
I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but yes it's almost a given that the Queen will not include an egg-sack.
All of the previous aliens would have included multiple eggs/facehuggers before the egg-sack ever stood a chance of happening.
The whole egg-sack idea is really silly. That's almost like asking for Bishop to come with an APC.

Just a quick comment on the Queen as a realistic figure in 1/6...
She would have to have very stiff or even stepped (PL arm pistons) joints, so as to allow holding a pose, stiff waist, hips, knees and especially, if these are even posable, ankles.
And, as Sean said, if then the upper body was mostly thinner or lighter materials, the head for sure, a large hollow, then she would be very possible.
She might still need a good stand, like a larger version of what they make now, that would help support her mid area, because making her a tripod with her tail may not be enough at 1/6...
But she is possible.
And I am almost certain that she would be one of the most expensive products ever in the HT line.
But whatever the case, once the announcment comes, there will be excitement. No doubt. This line is far from dead. NO way!

The PredAlien? She'd totally dwarf the PA man. She'll be freakin' huge in 1/6! Her head alone should be about 2 ft. long, at least. She was roughly twice the size of the power loader, if you can picture that. Lots and lotsa plastic!

Damn, she could be into the range of $300 to $400! At 1:6, she would be about 2 1/2 feet tall, as she is said to be about 15ft tall in the movies!! Yes!!!!

She was described as being 24 ft tall in the Aliens CE DC, but I think her scale will be downsized as a hunched Queen to battle the PL.
I don't think she'll be priced over 250 retail.

it makes sense for ht to produce an alien queen. she is such an integral part of the franchise. not making a queen would be like producing a star wars line without vader, chewbacca, c3po and r2d2.
