A buddy of mine had a theory about Wolverine and his muscle mass long ago, now be warned this was a completely nerdy...and possibly inebriated conversation, but if Wolverine's healing factor allows him to heal all wounds and when you work out you are basically microtearing muscle fibers and then they heal allowing for the muscles to grow and strengthen, then his healing factor would actually allow for his muscles to get huge in short period of time if he worked out especially multiple times per day. He could literally be in body builder shape in weeks. So artists who draw Wolverine with huge musculature aren't actually in the wrong because over years and years of training his healing factor would actually allow his muscles grow to that size with ease and since he doesn't age normally he would experience muscle loss that most men do after 40....I know, it was a weird conversation. ;)

Ha not bad. Never really thought about that.

Nerdy talk continuation.

If he heals as quickly as he does Josh, he might actually not even be able to build muscle. He doesn't have scars right? And muscle growth is (in the most basic sense of the word) scaring... He would probably be limited to a certain size.

This was exactly what I was thinking when I read this ridiculousness at work. Wolverine might heal so fast he can't build muscle lol.

Hmm...good question but since muscle building is a natural occurance in the body and he has to at least have some muscle building capability otherwise his muscle growth would have ceased when his healing factor kicked in around puberty and he'd be a scrawny little shrimp his whole life.
