I can only dream! The Brown and Tan would be Epic!
I've been thinking this over and i'm now convinced that we will see a brown Wolverine costume at some point from SSC. I Initially thought nothing of the fact that on my shipping box of the Wolvie LSF it said Blue Costume but it has to surely mean something? :dunno

Maybe they'll use the extra heads that we were supposed to get for the original Wolvie LSF for the brown costume version?

Just joking spidey! You are cool and passionate about collecting. :wave

no one has to know.

I'm a fan of the brown costume as well. I first started reading the book shortly after they made the switch, and didn't end up seeing the yellow/blue one until a couple years later when I started collecting back issues to read the Dark Phoenix storyline.

And while I would probably prefer an all/mostly fabric costume similar to the current LSF, here's why I think they may have to go sculpted for the brown parts at least

Because the costume over the ball of the shoulder comes to a sharp point, there doesn't seem to be anything to leverage the fabric against to keep it taught there. Even if it were glued (which would probably be a regrettable decision), you still have that sharp triangle where the fabric can't be wrapped over or around without leaving some sag. Even if you could get it taught and hide the excess underneath, that would mean you probably also have to sculpt out the arm area in the shoulder so that it will sit in more flush- which would definitely necessitate a new arm sculpt.
That's why I'm thinking all the brown on the shoulder and torso will need to be sculpted and rigid- unless they take some big liberties with the original design in that area.

I realize this is putting the cart waaaaay ahead of the horse since any movement on this is still a ways away. But the logistical, problem solving aspect of this I find fascinating.

Good points Mose regarding the fabric on the shoulder :goodpost: whats also interesting is to whether they'd keep the same sculpt/pose that they've used for the blue costume LSF or whether they'd design a completely new pose for him? :dunno

Just go with the animated version. Then he wouldnt be bare armed, it would be yellow over that part of the arm and attach to the brown. Unless it is all sculpted or it is armored, leather etc, hard to see how they could do it other wise. That pointy edge on the sleeve is problematic when translating to any other medium.

I think there's a chance of a brown costume wolverine but it would be more than a simple repaint or re cloth. I think with the speed that the lsf are coming out a brown costume is years away. Which is a good thing lol

I'm sure that when the brown suited Wolvie' is made. It won't be in LSF, but more in the PF and more collector friendly scale. Just find it funny how some tend to think that it's going to come out as a LSF...:nono

because of the (Wolverine LSF:Blue Costume) printed on the shipping box...

Does anyone have this and the Rulk comiquette (or green or grey for that matter)? I'd like to see a photo of the boxes together if possible. Trying to figure out what to do for storage if I get this.
