Thanks for coming to the rescue, big brother but I understood his "clear and concise" reply just fine. I'll defend this statue to the grave, dude. It's a "clear and concise" interpretation of Wolverine, everyone knows it, even you, and that guy came in here nitpicking for the sake of an argument. I can tell he enjoys debate, but if he wants to debate something, then maybe he should wander into the Superman PF thread and debate that God-awful EX head. Yeah you know, the one that you defend to the grave?

Have to agree with you Steve :goodpost:

If you guys have any doubt about Troy's skills for making another head for our beloved Wolverine Legendary scale figure here, take a look at his latest work for the Joker PF!
(Once I have a WIP I will post it)

Hey Alex, just sent you an email as your PM inbox is full :duff

Steven, you seem to have taken my criticisms of this piece personally. That wasn't my intention, and I regret the misunderstanding.
Nor was my 'nit-picking' intended to spur an argumentative back and forth. We can all debate the merits of the brown vs the yellow suit, or the price/value ratio in light of not getting additional switch out heads. But as far as I'm concerned, in matters of anatomy there simply is no debate. It's either correct or it isn't.
That the figure is supposed to be a fictional character is immaterial. If he has human anatomy, his structure is governed by the same laws as every other human figure, which are written by their bones and muscles.
Whether some aspect being incorrect will infringe on someones enjoyment or valuation of the piece as a whole, well..that's entirely up to them.

I can tell you that while I consider this an obvious flaw, there is still too much else about this statue that is too well done to ever dismiss it. It is by far the best representation of this character I've seen- bar none. Hopefully before June is over I can get mine- and start admiring all the wonderful things this gets so right, and try not to focus on the one thing it doesn't.

and with that I hope we can put the subject to rest. My apologies to all for being new and starting off so contentiously.

Rest assured, you are not at fault here. But there are simply too many collectors who view any criticisms, even if insightful & constructive, as heresy. And then the unfounded accusations & suspended logic come pouring in. A pity, as this shortsighted attitude really diminishes the true potential for these forums.

Keep on posting my man, without apologies, as we can all learn something.:wave

In the end some people here just want to hack on others, and love the protection that being relatively anonymity of hiding behind their computer screen and behaving a manor that most of use would NEVER consider doing in public. They make things personal, take cheep shots, and just are for the most part *******s. They like doing that because it is pretty hard to talk back to your Mom when you are living in her basement....:wink1:. However, in all seriousness you did nothing wrong, and it won't matter if you apologize for the most part... guys just want to flex their forum muscles so to speak.

Some people take any insult against a piece as being an insult to their CHILDREN. I am the first to admit that I will defend a piece I like, but unless someone is coming at me personally, I KNOW that I never try to get HARSH the way some do. People think that respect doesn't apply to the internet:lecture

The first one was MOSTLY a JOKE!!! hence the winky and the "In all seriousness"....:lol. However, I WILL say that some on here go STRAIGHT TO HARSH the first time ... when it isn't necessary

I know Spidey. You've always been cool I was just giving you a hard time :duff

I have been following this thread for a while without commenting and all I'll say is i think it is hilarious to see people argue against a comic statue based on correct anitomical proportions and such. Its a comic statue have you people read comics? This is a guy full of metal with 6 1foot claws in his forarms.

Having said all that I hope this argument continues as it is very entertaining.

Now why would it be this creepy?
Have you in fact seen his head sculpt for the kit he did?
I agree the Gore Sculpt is something else! But its not included :dunno so.... :monkey2 we cant cry about it, someone is just doing another!
Like I said, like a HT head sculpt but much much better :)

I guess a zombie Wolverine sculpt could be pretty creepy :dunno

Troy is a great sculptor, I bet he will do a great job with the alternate head for the Wolverine...If I have a chance to work with him for this project, I want something like this:

Haha, it's all good dude! You don't need to apologize, but I'll apologize for giving you a hard time and taking your views harder than I should have. You've got some pretty thick skin when it comes to criticism and taking forum jokes, but that's the funniest thing about all this. I never once got under your skin; however, I got under someone else's. More than likely, because he's experienced attacks as a lone individual on a different subject in another thread, and he tried coming in here to save you the agony once you made the post about the arms. He obviously didn't need to, though. I think he started experiencing flashbacks once he saw the post where you criticized them.

You actually have more constructive information in your 23 total posts than most do in their 3,000 plus. When it comes to hiding behind a computer screen...that's funny. People can use that as their excuse if it makes them feel better about trying to figure me out, but I guess they don't really know who I am. I'm a guy who doesn't like to use smileys, haha! I guess I should be more specific in my bio, though.

Yeah, Wolverine's arms are obviously flawed, but who cares, I think they look fantastic and it's a fantastic statue. If anyone thinks they can do a better job, then by all means, cut 'em off and sculpt a new set. The same can be said with the Superman EX head...if you don't like it, don't use it, or sculpt something better. I plan on letting that sit in a plastic bag forever.

It's good to know you're still getting this statue, unlike the other guy who posted earlier that he cancelled because of the arms.

Steven

I want the brown and tan...hope we get a sneak at a Pf or even a brown version of this at SDCC!

I've been thinking this over and i'm now convinced that we will see a brown Wolverine costume at some point from SSC. I Initially thought nothing of the fact that on my shipping box of the Wolvie LSF it said Blue Costume but it has to surely mean something? :dunno

Maybe they'll use the extra heads that we were supposed to get for the original Wolvie LSF for the brown costume version?
