I got a Sabretooth yesterday thanks to Wolvie82, but now I need the companion piece. Regardless, I'll get the Wolverine eventually but I want to get it for Retail if possible.

Wolvie is what 750 or so EX? Venom is 350 my bro just got on the WL for that not too long ago, it converted and has shipped and he now owns the best Venom statue to date. Like Ski said have faith.
But I would guess that version of Sabretooth spent most of his time interacting with yellow/blue Wolvie, since those were their most common outfits, respectively, throughout the 1990s. Wolvie changed outfits in the early 90s, McFarlane Spidey comic if memory serves, and it just stuck. Sabretooth took on his new digs around the same time, no?
Not that I'm disagreeing with the need for a brown Wolvie. I would much prefer that to the tiger stripe version, since that is the outfit he wore when I was a fan as a kid.

I'd still jump on the waitlist. Mine is about to convert (2009-11-13 19:28:35) but there is a good chance I will cancel. More of a Spidey collector anyways.
I wish Sideshow would just announce the brown variant already so that I could cancel this pre-order.
