If you look closely at Wolverine's neck it looks to me like there may be a pulled down mask around the back of his neck with the unmasked head as well. It looks like the "ears" are over both of his shoulder pads.

you know i was wondering what them wing/flaps were and that makes prefect sence....:D

At first I thought that was something related to stabilizing the sculpture but I started to believe the same thing you're saying.

And Dave is right, PF's could definately move into that more realistic direction of utilizing mixed media applications for the masks although I agree that doing it right would be no easy feat.

At first I thought this wolverine was utilizing some sort of fabric-cloth-leather-pleather combination for his mask but now I believe it to be polystone.

C'mon SS, take risks and leaps of faith in your R&D, what's a few million dollars lost amongst friends :lol

i hardly doubt that.

either way, the more i look at the pics and video, the more i'm sitting on the fence for this one..... no doubt i'll be there ordering next friday if for anything to see how this will look along side the sabretooth PF, and if it looks great along side him then i'll keep it, if not it'll be hitting "cancel"

I hear ya....

If anything I find this sneak peak very intriguing to say the least.

My interest has been peaked, what exactly is going on here with this piece :dunno

As in how much of a % is polystone vs flexible materials and what composition is the mixed media :dunno

The full reveal will either sink or scream bad ass!

edit: The chest plate (seams) and fuzz balls are whats messing with my head

kinda reminds me of that old sweater you have in the closet that has all them little fuzzies on it, i mean you love that sweater but your embarrassed to wear it in public and only wear it around the house:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2.

you guys like the seams at the chest area? Dont know if I like that. Regardless i will e getting this!

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet, but could the seams have anything to do with an alternate brown/yellow costume version?

But the great sideshow... will keep pumping out these boring exclusive over and over...

Way to keep the collection fresh sideshow.

Like Sabretooth, but Fat Boy Wolvie they can keep.

its not wise to change for the sake of change. its quite clear from how the exclusives are selling that the idea is what a vast majority of collectors want.

Perhaps you can suggest some other alternatives and start a poll to help decide on a better exclusive?

do you mean a change of costume??
if they make a fabric mask, then they have to make it perfect in order not to cause displaying problems..

If you move towards removable masks etc your moving into the realm of action figures and toys. I hope to god SS don't go that direction with the PF line.
