Wolverine PF

I've seen this reg in my LCS today and I am not impress. Its nice enough of a PF but not impress. Kinna short/small...maybe I am not a fan of Wolverine.

Nice display. I think this illustrates that SSC has really captured the essence of Wolverine fairly good.

I'm beginning to think that there are quite a few people who collect Marvel pieces that have never read the comics. Kind of strange in my opinion because I don't see what would be the appeal. I'm guessing some people collect what they think looks cool. That's fair enough but personally, if I'm going to shell out this amount of money, I like for the piece to have some personal meaning behind it.

Yes, you are right. Many people collect scaled Ferrari cars, and have never driven one. Many people collect scaled models of airplanes, and have never flown them. Some people just care more about appearances/design than for the whole package.

Nah, Sabretooth is not essential unless it is 70s/80s look Sabretooth. Statue looks weird, also.

You got the Wolverine so it'd be a shame to not have the companion Sabertooth piece to go along with it imo unless you just don't like it or something.

That is more than likely the sleeper of the year, really it's not a sleeper because everyone should know better, the sculpt is crazy awesome!!!!

It sure is. I can't see how anyone wouldn't want this either unless you’re a “pajama” hater (which I’m definitely not) This is probably one of the best PF’s made imo. From the portraits to the stance to the base everything about this statue has win all over it and nails the character of Sabertooth right on the head.

I thought Marvel turned him into a good guy. . .well, I stopped reading about 15 years ago, so I'm probably wrong. I like the character as he was written during the late 80s/early 90s, but the PF just doesn't do anything for me. Don't know what it is exactly, but I just don't care for it. I have nothing against PFs in general.

Wolverine, though. That's a winner.

Absolutely can't wait for Sabretooth.
I don't say this most of the time but "EX or fail" for the Sabretooth PF.
Gotta have that exclusive head with growl and short sideburns.

For me its the lack of boots on sabes that make it look like he's wearing baby PJ's. That particular costume looks great in the comics but it just looks weird (IMO) in the pictures I've seen of the PF. Maybe when I see it in person I'll change my mind.

On the other hand Wolvie's PF looks great.

I think 70s/80s Sabretooth would work better as a PF, but we'll probably never know. He does look like he is wearing "footies."

I cannot wait for Sabretooth now. I cannot see how someone is getting Wolvie and is not getting Sabretooth. They will look prefect together!
Wolverine PF is a great piece! It grows in my heart every day! If you do not have the comiquette this is the way to go. The only problem in my opinion is the lack of muscle definition on the chest and abs area. This is the only reason this is not a prefect piece for me!(Just my opnion!!!)
The seams don`t bother me at all!

+ Great Head Sculp
+ Great arms size and muscle definition
+ Great Boots sculp
+ Freaking AWESOME metal claws

- Poor Muscle definition on chest, abs and back areas
- Seams can bother some people
- Base could be a little more elaborated
