My opinion is if you don't like cloth u shouldn't own one PF, PF collectors understand that. I like that there's mix media because I know that's what to be expected. It's actually why one of the reasons I thought the PF line was different from every other statue.

if don't like it, I don't need to show you the door.

Some don't like any. Some like all?
I only prefer the one that is executed well, PF or mixed media. To me these materials suppose to make the statue more realistic not more like a stuffed animal. Just my opinion of course.

Yea I heard or seen the ones that say they don't like any yet they mostly have had the grails of PF, so their loyalties are false.

So this brings me to a question what changed their minds of PF cloth?

I would like to make a request--can anyone who has both the Wolvie PF and the Hulkbuster Comiquette pose them next to each other, for scale? I noticed the updated pic of the Hulk Comiquette with the Hulkbuster, and want to get an idea of whether Wolvie will look reasonably in scale or not.

Thanks ahead of time :rock

--edit: Wolvie PF is supposedly 17" tall, Hulk Com is supposedly 24" tall, and Hulk PF is supposedly 20" tall. . .

I cannot wait for Sabretooth now. I cannot see how someone is getting Wolvie and is not getting Sabretooth.

Cause I'll be displaying Wolvie next to Cyclops, Gambit, and Rogue PF's. But it is true that the Wolvie base matches the sabes' base as opposed to Gambit's base.

You got the Wolverine :yess: so it'd be a shame to not have the companion Sabertooth piece to go along with it imo unless you just don't like it or something.

I'm not really digging the Sabes PF, for reasons to be explained below...

That is more than likely the sleeper of the year, really it's not a sleeper because everyone should know better, the sculpt is crazy awesome!!!!

Yep, Wolverine is awesome. The portrait is detailed and the pose does a great job of illustrating Wolverine's ferocity as well as depicting him as the short, stocky runt we know from the comics. And the metal claws absolutely put this over the top.

For me its the lack of boots on sabes that make it look like he's wearing baby PJ's. That particular costume looks great in the comics but it just looks weird (IMO) in the pictures I've seen of the PF. Maybe when I see it in person I'll change my mind.

This is one of the reasons I believe that the Marvel PFs don't work as well on a whole as other PFs from the LOTR of Star Wars lines, and the same reason that any time a comic book movie is made, major changes usually have to be made to the costumes. Things that look great on a 2D comic book page don't translate well into real world 3D, as far as fabric.

I thought Marvel turned him into a good guy. . .well, I stopped reading about 15 years ago, so I'm probably wrong. I like the character as he was written during the late 80s/early 90s, but the PF just doesn't do anything for me. Don't know what it is exactly, but I just don't care for it. I have nothing against PFs in general.

Wolverine, though. That's a winner.

You and me have the same tastes, it seems.

I cannot wait for Sabretooth now. I cannot see how someone is getting Wolvie and is not getting Sabretooth. They will look prefect together!:clap
Wolverine PF is a great piece! It grows in my heart every day! If you do not have the comiquette this is the way to go. The only problem in my opinion is the lack of muscle definition on the chest and abs area. This is the only reason this is not a prefect piece for me!(Just my opnion!!!)
The seams don`t bother me at all!

+ Great Head Sculp
+ Great arms size and muscle definition
+ Great Boots sculp
+ Freaking AWESOME metal claws

- Poor Muscle definition on chest, abs and back areas
- Seams can bother some people
- Base could be a little more elaborated

IMO, the portrait and pose of Sabretootth is fantastic, but the execution of his costume doesn't look right too me.

As far as the "poor Muscle definition on chest & abs", I could have sworn that the piece I had had excellent definition. While I could not make out Wolverine's pectorals, I could see the silhouette of his lats. Looked good, IMO.

exactly, but i'm sure we'll see many more comments from the naysayers of the PF line. while i agree some characters are more suited towards the mixed media/PF line, this is Marvel and i believe a large percentage of the characters in the PF line are going to have the Spandez/PJ look to them. so either like it or leave it.
it's like the people that continiously bash the 1/6 collectors about collecting dolls.

don't think any of them can be compared to stuffed animals, but that's just me :dunno

or made a shat load of money off of them, and that last question i think could be answered as the spidey conversion. myself i like the conversion but the original style and cloth still speaks spidey to me and the conversion, though it looks great, they will never reach the value of the originals imo. (other than the original red/blue)
again we as collectors buy what we like and can change or convert said collectables how we see fit so that the piece appeals more to each persons taste.

Yeah, but... what the hell is he trying to do to Oprah?

convert her to scientology:panic:

Just got my UPS notice. I should get my Wolvie Ex next week (hopefully). This will actually be first fully clothed piece. I'm curious to see how I'll feel about it. This could be a make or break piece for me as I haven't been generally drawn to clothed pieces. However, I felt I may have been unfair as it's not like there's a store next door displaying a whole bunch of PFs for me to properly judge.

l really like this piece and l am not a Marval fan one bit. when more money is in reach l might get him. there are some good reviews on youtube.

Just like anything else, you can't really appreciate them until you've seen them in person. Like has been said here though, some characters are much more suited to it than others.

If you've never seen a Marvel PF in person before, I think you'll be pleasently surprised when Wolvie shows up :peace
