The camp feel of the movie was clearly intentional, and it falls very much in line with the character of WW imo.
I like that Patty changed it up, i hope the 3rd film is different all over again in tone.
Really, quality figures is all I am looking for. Sure, this movie was inconsistent and at times felt more like Adam West produced it, but even a stinky movie won't stop me from potentially getting a decent WW figure.
Wait, that's their actual name? So I guess there's a lot of bondage / S&M on Themyscira. I had no idea lol...
Patty noted she had more control, and could construct the ending the way she wanted in this one. I think this film is 99.9% her baby. 2.5 hour runtime seems to indicate not much was left on the cutting room floor.
*sees she also wrote the movie*
oh..geez. She produced, made the story, wrote the screenplay and directed this.
The movie just did not make any sense from a plot perspective. The golden armor itself was meaningless. She already knew how to fly before hand and the way she used the armor did not connect to her background story on the previous user of the armor.

I won't be cancelling any pre-orders, but the movie just wasn't good. All the actors did everything right. But the story, the pacing, the direction just were all off. Ultimately it had no stakes. All that said, it looked great. The golden armor was a treat.
Gal won?t be winning any Oscars, but I disagree that she can?t emote, i think she sold the emotional weight of this film more than the previous one.
Gal is really showing her limits. Every emoting scene just seems like she can't express it correctly. I'm screaming on the inside for her to just express what the dialog is saying. Most notably when she talks to Steve in the hotel, that there's got to be a better way.
Most of her expressions were either neutral or frustrated despite what the scene needs. All her serious scenes have the same angry eyebrow. Why was she so angry at Barbra about letting Max borrow the stone?? The line didn't call for that kind of delivery. I can't feel any emotions when she's acting, even in WW1.

They never showed us the world building for Diana for the past x amount of years since losing Trevor. I feel like it would have helped more. Also Cheetah needed more time. Maxwell shouldn’t have been used.
I find it odd how people complain about cgi battles in comic book movies, especially from people who watch them all. These movies are 95% cgi battles.....
