I get it. I'm trying to think of a movie that I love to watch that's a real stinker to others. Some might say "Fury Road"...

I'm not a huge Max fan, but i did enjoy Fury Road for the most part.

Another good example for me is Iron Man 2, a lot of people hate it and would even put it last on their MCU list, and I know it's not as good as other titles to choose from for my Iron Man fix, but it's just such a fun movie. I love it.

Can you see this...?

Yes, but I can't see the top of the site, and when I go into this thread it takes me to the first page. I don't even see the emojis. :panic: <--- good thing I remember some of them

The only (modern) CBMs I can watch repeatedly are:

Avengers
The Winter Soldier
Guardians/Galaxy

I even find the original Iron Man (the one that started it all) a little boring now.

It's the same for me from the MCU... minus Avengers
Fox... maybe X-Men First Class and Logan
DC... maybe Wonder Woman when it releases on blu ray

Yup that's one lol.

Here's the thing with superhero movies.

I spent my childhood loving every other movie genre but when it came to superheros I only had my wonderful comic books to interact with.

I would read them with such passion that I couldn't even imagine what movies would be like with them.

Then it happened, STM arrived and it was an instant classic, then we wouldn't get Batman until 11 years later!

11 years, sheesh!

This is why now I am super forgiving of them.

Of course I will embrace, cherish and rewatch the really good ones, your STM, Batman89, Spiderman2, Blade1, BB, TDK, IM1, TWS, CW, Avengers, Logan.

But when it comes to the lesser ones who put in a valiant effort (not your Superman 4, Catwoman) I can't help but think back to my childhood when I could only dream about them which is what informs me to be more tolerant and less critical of their deficiencies.

So yeah sure there are some mediocre superhero movies but honestly i'm even having fun with those.

X-men First Class was a great one, I would add that to my list -- but I always forget about X-men.

I sincerely doubt I will even put a Snyder-driven DC movie in my CBM favs.

Didn't I just mention Congo? Now Anaconda comes up. Coincidence? :lol

The 90's had so many bad movies as I look back. Variety, yes. Much, much more than now. But just a lot of meh movies. It is a decade devoid of the franchise-monsters like the 80's that seem to have them in droves. And there were plenty bad movies back then too... but a lot more good ones.

I'll do all of you one better, or worse. Last night I was watching Green Labtern. The movie's trash but I still love the space scenes.

D00M
Armageddon
Face/Off
The Fast and the Furious
Jason X
These I like, D00M was cool.

I also like Critters, except the 4th one.

Now you're trolling. You seriously like those movies? Anaconda? Batman & Robin? Face Off? You forgot Broken Arrow. :lol

You are a child of the 90's. I'm so sorry.
Broken Arrow was cool too, no love for The Rock? Best MGS movie we'll ever get.

The Rock was another one of the 90's actioners that was all style no substance. Forgettable as their directors.

You guys like Mystery Men too?

I remember the 90's this way:
T2
Jurassic Park
The Matrix

That's about it. Usual Suspects in there somewhere too. It's also the decade that destroyed Batman.
