so your saying you can't comprehend why someone would want their purchases to retain their value in the future? I just recently sold off about half my collection to put a sizable down payment on a house. I didn't buy the statues with the intention of selling them later, but also wasn't stupid enough to blindly throw money at something I thought would be worthless a year later either. I would recommend jumping down from that high horse, but carefully so as not to injure yourself and need to dip into your emergency fund
THIS!!!! 1000X THIS. If you're in this for "future investement" you need to rethink a few things. There are much better ways for you to be investing than buying Sideshow statues. You make a few bucks off a statue here or there, good on you. But if one of you're main motivations is reselling for profit, you're part of the problem and not the solution. This is a forum for people who enjoy the art and collecting of incredible pieces. Lets not ruin it by constantly bitching about ES so you're future eBay listing isn't able to put your kid through...... errrrrrrrrrr buy that new TV you probably can't afford. 
we blindly toss money at things that end up worthless a year later all the time. We just don't add it all up.
