McFarlane toys has the Walking Dead liscense guys. No 1/6 coming. That would be EXTREMELY surprising. If sideshow had that they wouldve shouted it from the rooftops just to get people to stop buying/making customs.
No, Sideshow doesn't normally announce big licenses out of the blue. They wait for an event and sometimes show off the first item as well. IF they have it, they'll announce it at SDCC. I doubt they'd wait till Spooktacular, but that is definitely possible too. This license is right up their alley and since they check the boards regularly, they know there is a market for these!
Yeah, that would be the ideal way to do it, no doubt.Probably an announcement at SDCC and maybe show a few WIPs, with the first preorder around Spook (TWD premiere). Sideshow was never really one to capitalize off of hype, but if I had the license, that's exactly what I'd do.
I could see it being Sideshow (natural fit with their previous Dead line) and I think it would be about the perfect price point for TWD. A good compromise between detail and price (just tighten-up the paint apps a bit). Besides the statement mentioning the company being in the States, it's hard to see HT having any interest in the line. They don't seem to be into 1:6 Horror franchises of any kind, from what I've seen.I'd rather see Enterbay or Blitzway with this license (please not Hot Toys). Both companies are much better at human likenesses. Sideshow needs to stick to Star Wars, DC and hopefully Marvel 1:6. However it could be cool if they were a distributor for the line.

Trevor Grove? Personally, all I've seen out of Blitzway is Pacino and Enterbay's likenesses are hit and miss and their QC sucks big donkey nuts, so no thanks.

I don't own any new 1/6 from SSC. Seeing pics of the new Obi figure it looks like their paint apps have gotten better but I've never seen it in hand. Not HT good but good. Can anyone clarify about their recent stuff?
The only problem with Sideshow is they fall short of the mark when it comes to carrying a complete line. (Except SW) I believe the market is out there for a complete line of TWD 1/6 figures. The only issue I see is the price point. It's a great line but anything over $129.00 each will scare off a large part of the market.

If they got rid of the doll dot, and had Trevor sculpt Rick, they could steal SDCC this year. I can just see a figure of Rick from the pilot on display.
Years eh? I suppose you think JC Hong painted their 1/6 Joker? And here was I thinking I could say something without Nam parking down my throat.
