Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Still awaiting for mine to arrive; ordered one time before the free shipping promo, and another time during the promo.

The store advised that they should arrive 6-9th Feb after they were sent back to customs and resent out to me. Two more weeks... but free shipping, can't complain. :D

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Quoted so people see it - because of the attachment the post wasn't showing:
My name is Dave and I'm from HTOS (hottoysonlinestore). I have been asked by a member here to post so that we can clarify the user iPaul regarding his claim against our store in this forum.

We are fully aware of his actions in this method, infact we already informed him to go to the Romania post office and file a claim, so the EMS can pay for the parcel insurance. the parcel we sent was fully insure. We don't have any idea why the the buyer unable to file a claim in his local post office or refused to file a claim at his local post office.

As far as we understand we can track the parcel online at https://app3.hongkongpost.com/CGI/mt/enquiry.jsp
tracking number EA096038844HK the item was delivered and we also know that you need to give your signature in order to received the item via EMS. so all the status as been updated / tracked in the EMS system. the recipient can just go to the post office with the tracking number and file a claim against the EMS courier , after that EMS will issue refund for the damage parcel.

We already contacted our Hong Kong EMS and we already receive advised from them and we also saw their system that the item was clearly accepted by the recipient, they are waiting IPAUL to submit his claim in romania and show us the official claim paper then we can can proceed further. We are willing to deal with this issue " legally and properly " because we have nothing to hide but full with proof and docs. To be honest filling a claim is not difficult , just bring along the EMS slip, item , tracking number already attached in the EMS slip and also the box.

Finally we also have a proof with the EMS courier that the box we sent was clearly with a boxed figure inside the shipping box. the price we paid is the normal EMS price we paid to european countries..Also we saw the buyer pictures and he show us the box have a big hole, so do you guys think EMS will let us post the box in Hong kong if the shipping box have a Big Hole in it? of course we cannot. EMS will ask us to get a proper box before sending the item. anyone can try to send a box with a big hole in it and ask your local post office if you can send that or not.

This picture(EMS Slip) of Ipauls parcel clearly showing the shipping cost we paid 437 HKD = around 56USD with the weight is 1.95KG, i mean empty box will not cost 56USD!! Therefore this is proof from my end that the box contained the figure once it shipped out based on the weight alone.

I have been more then helpful to date trying to resolve this but iPaul only agressive repeated suggesting has been for a full refund from. As I said.....he procedure for EMS claim is - if recipient found any damages , the recipient must go to his/her local post office to file a claim case. then EMS will fully issue a refund of the product price.

In this case we are willing to help the buyer but the buyer MUST file a claim in Romania post office first.
EMS procedure is like this. this is not from our request, this is from EMS request. we believe this request is not a very difficult request if you don't have anything to hide. EMS and we are still waiting the buyer to file a claim with the romania post office.
after that the buyer MUST show us the file paper that he submited then we will contact EMS for the insurance refund. Until Ipaul talks with his post office there is nothing that I can do.

Even if you are using PayPal you still need to open a claim case manually. Seller won't be able to do it for buyer, buyer have to open the case first., same goes to EMS procedure as well. If a buyer want refund buyer must open a claim case , plain simple.

As we mention in our homepage we give you refund but you don't have to abuse the refund policy. We do thing with proper procedure and all will be fine.

I really do hope this clears things up for most here. We are a legitinmate business and would love to answer any questions in this form.

Thanks for all those members and poeple that have already succesfully purchased from us. We plan on making a long term viable business out of this and you feedback will held us do that.

Thank You

Dave.

hi dave and thanks for coming to the forum and letting us know what has happened, many people have been worried because of this incident and the situations regarding customs sending back some packages because of no invoice, if you could clear this matter up also it would give us even more relief and confidence as i am one who is still waiting for an item to arrive, thanks.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Thanks for posting Dave. There's nothing like hearing the vendor's side of the story first hand :)

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Looks like Hot Toys needs to be added to that list.

Signed for a empty box with a hole big enough that a boxed figure could slide out.

You are joking? The same thing that happened to iPaul has happened to you?
Sorry if I misread!

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

If I ever receive a shipment with a big hole in the box, I will never have sign for it. Instead, I will get the courier to mark the item as "damaged and to return to sender". In any case, when I hold a box in my hand, I can straight away tell if it is an empty box or a box with a 1/6 figure in it. To hold a box and not know its empty sounds kind of strange, at least to me!

It's good that Dave posted his side of the event. Always listen to both sides of any story.

welcome to the freaks board !

there is a dealer section on the board where you can post your inventory but you may want to wait till some of the smoke clears . and you need to get Paypal . Paypl will most certainly put everyone at ease.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

So has anyone on here got a figure from these very recently? I know a few on here have ordered from them.
Now that we heard the story from the seller... That clears up a little.

So, Back to the original issue with shoppers and shipping trouble...
Has anyone received the figure this year from HTOS? (with/without free shipping promotion)

I placed my order and paid on Jan. 3rd during free shipping promotion, but mine got also sent back from US custom (with the same reason - missing invoice)

HTOS told me they re-sent the package and will arrive Feb/6~8th.
That would be 34-37 days. dangerously close to 45days PayPal refund policy.

I'd like to trust them, but it's only natural to be frustrated in this situation.
If anyone here received any package from HTOS this year, I can feel a little easier.:panic::pray:

If you look at their home page it says "We Only accept Paypal" :dunno

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

yeah yeah, paypal works just fine ... when you dont stall the delivery on purpose by claiming it got "sent back because of no invoice". What you guys dont understand is that IF that would be the case, the buyer would get contacted by the customs, and get a chance to clear things up BEFORE they return it to the sender.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Hey is it possible to send a package to the US or any other country w/o a bill of Lading?I had a package sent to me from China and the EMS slip got ripped off but it still had a shipping label with my phone # on it so i got a call from Customs and i had to go to NYC to claim my package so i don't get why no one received a call.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Not trying to defend anyone, but my guess is that The custom will call you if they need to collect tax and hand you off the package.
If they see a problem/mistake on sender's side, they will just send it back with 'fix it' ticket.
