I just wire transfered them 300 euros for the Chris Redfield figure since I don't have a Paypal account.I'll let you guys know how the transaction went as soon as I receive the package.

Why would you wire the money instead of opening a Paypal account? You said you have a CC, and Romania is listed on the Paypal website.
I mean.. sorry to have to say this, but not the smartest of moves, though it may have tempted them to show their hand prematurely if everything you say is true.

My Thor arrived last Friday, only to find out that they sent me Thor-Odin instead...

I immediately contacted Hottoysonline, they even admitted that I was the first person to report a problem.

I suspect what happened was Hottoysonline uses a network of suppliers (may be individuals or local stores) to secure at least some of their inventory, and the person who sent me my order (likely someone who 'invest' in Hot Toys rather than a collector) mistook Thor-Odin as Thor with a quick glance at the box. I don't think the store has direct oversight on the shipping process, which may also explain why they call some of you to confirm delivery. In fairness, most other product names are distinctive and should not be confused too easily.

I had pretty high hopes when hearing that Gunm received the HT paper bag in his shipment (more for novelty than anything else), his items were probably sent by a collector instead of an investor.

Anyway, several back and forth emails with me offering some options (since it is extremely expensive to ship the item back with tracking), Hottoysonline refunded me the full purchase price and left the discretion to me on how to deal with the incorrect product. I have since advised them that I will honour one of my proposed solution to list the item locally and send the proceeds to them.

To answer the question, is this a legitimate business?

My answer is a definitive yes and I will continue to keep them as a supplier.

Edit: One more note, the refund was actually sent to me on the following Monday (2 days later), and their communications have been very clear and responsive."

this was posted by someone on onesixwarrior.com yesterday, sounds like they dealt with the situation very professionally as a mistake on their behalf, very unusual that they would take that tone with you

Because I am from Romania ,they said they sent it with EMS and they provided me with tracking number but the first time I asked them they said there was no tracking number .

EDIT:Forgot to mention that as soon as I e-mailed them about my issue ,they listed Romania on their home page at countries that we do not ship so yeah that made me suspicious about them.

iPaul situation is unfortunate.

Can Romanian postal service be trusted? Was the box interferred with at all?

I've been to Romania a few times but I know things have improved in recent years.

Hey Eamon,I placed houndreds of orders online and I never had this kind of issue ever ,I may have received damaged products but those problems were resolved easily with the supplier .They didn't even want to discuss about this with me ,they were just blaming me for picking up the package even though I didn't know at that time that the actual product was missing from the box ,how was I supposed to know?

Funny how you guys still think this ____pile of a site is legit. Its quite obvious that they started out their business shipping stuff, and then when everybody thought they where legit, and the big money came rolling in, they started scamming people, its a classic!

I would be curious as to what unique insight you can give us over the many other folks here who feel it's legit.

They seem to be updating their exclusions list erratically and without much sense. Duh.

*We Do Not Ship to Hong Kong, Indonesia , Italy , Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary , Croatia ,UAE , Syria, Egypt, Chile, Colombia, Pakistan and Africa.

Wonder if I'm the reason Croatia got blacklisted. LOL

OMG this is bull_ ,we don't even have Hot Toys here so most romanian people don't even know about Hot Toys or SS because there aren't any retailers here ,they keep lying to us,this is clearly a scam .I have no reasons to lie to you guys,I can show you the bank statement to see I paid 295 Euros + 70 euros(bank fees) to the owner ,which is David Corando Muste(the guy who scammed me) . I uploaded a picture of my online bank statement so you can see,I wasn't the one who paid with paypal and I highly doubt that there was actually a person who paid with paypal last night .I highlighted with black the amount sent to them and with red the bank fees so you can see that I'm not lying.

Because paypal won't accept my credit card and I'm not going to make a new one just for paypal ,I usually don't like paypal because I read a lot of complains about it ,I usually use alertpay for transactions .

Hi. I do multi million dollar transactions each week with The Far East in my business, and the one thing that does not go down well in that part of the world is threats that you are going to bad mouth them on public forums. I am not saying that their response to ipaul was acceptable, I'm just saying that correspondence needs to be handled tactfully and devoid of emotion if you expect to get a favourable response. Yes I have ordered a figure, yes I am a little concerned. Suggest we all sit tight, give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they come good.
