Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Hi. I do multi million dollar transactions each week with The Far East in my business, and the one thing that does not go down well in that part of the world is threats that you are going to bad mouth them on public forums. I am not saying that their response to ipaul was acceptable, I'm just saying that correspondence needs to be handled tactfully and devoid of emotion if you expect to get a favourable response. Yes I have ordered a figure, yes I am a little concerned. Suggest we all sit tight, give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they come good.
I was very pacient with them,I talked very nice but they kept pointing fingers and blaming the wrong person for this problem and they didn't try to find a resolution for the problem.I mean they didn't lose anythhing,I did.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

I think that 99% of us on here purchase via PayPal so our butts are covered. I can understand why iPaul payed direct transfer but this leaves you with no cover at all.........would never recommend this with ANY online store. iPaul, getting a PayPal account is free and you do not have to pay any fees as they are all absorbed by the seller. I suggest you get one as this would have given you cover in this situation.

Also, for those waiting for their parcels via EMS (I am waiting on Indy) make sure that you open the parcel and confirm it's all there BEFORE you sign. This is something that I always do regardless. The courier doesn't care if you ask him to wait a minute for you to check....and make sure you do it in front of him. If he says that he is in a hurry then say you will not sign for it and for him to bring it back when he has a spare minute........they always change their mind :lol.

I would be curious to hear what razor1 has to say.

i can't really say much here. I have ordered two figures and have had a perfect experience with both. Best price/customer service I have experienced buying Hot Toys to date. Dave is amazingly approachable and accommodating. I have now also ordered Indy.....and as mentioned earlier I will post on my experience as soon as it arrives. I would love to hear both sides of the story though. Maybe I will drop an email to HTonlinestore and ask him to post on here. Might be a good forum for those that have questions for him.

Can you post a photograph of the form that was on the packaging with the date, time and contents description as it was when delivered to you please?

As you are so impressed by them, I am sure will not mind going one step further to help calm our worries! :)

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

OMG this is bull_ ,we don't even have Hot Toys here so most romanian people don't even know about Hot Toys or SS because there aren't any retailers here ,they keep lying to us,this is clearly a scam .

Just because you don't have a local retailer doesn't mean you're the only person in your country ordering. Most countries don't have a HT store or local retailers for HT. Here in Australia we don't and yet there's seems to be a pretty reasonable number of Australians who know about HT and buy figures.

No good mate. As I mentioned in my earlier post I am not one for keeping invoices or packaging once I am happy with my product. My figures came several weeks ago now and I have no packaging left. I have included all photos of my figures when they arrived and these can be found in my earlier posts.

There are around 4 or so people on here now that have received their Hot Toys from them. Perhaps Steve74 or someone else might be able to help out here. When my Indy comes I will certainly be happy to include a photo of the form. I'll let you know when it's here.

G'day......a fellow aussie :duff

There is a local shop that deals with Hot Toys. I used to deal with him prior to discovering HTOnlineStore. Really nice guy as well but prices are higher then at HTOnlineStore.

But yeah......Hot Toys is a huge market here in Australia as well.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Hey guys ,I received my package and guess what happend?THE BOX WAS EMPTY!I contacted as soon as I noticed this and they kept blaming me like it was my fault ,they kept telling me how it was my fault because I signed the package without verifying it first even though it's not possible to unbox it before you sign for it and how it was my fault because I dont have a scanner and stuff like that ,I can't get my money back ($500) because I bank wired the money and now I'm stuck with a Chris Redfield empty box .SO DON'T BUY THEM FROM ,THEY'RE SCAMMERS!

Whatever happened you have to contact the police and your bank.

As for checking the package, they are right YOU HAVE TO DO IT especially if your order is expensive.
In my country the delivery guys usually refuse to let you do it, they say you sign it you open it!
So what i do now is that i refuse the package and go collect it at the post office where it's easier to open it..

You have been robbed, too bad that you got into a fight with them because the first thing you should ask them to do is to file a claim at their post office, only the sender is entitled to do it.
Try to recontact and tell them that things got heated but that you need their help.
Ask them to file a claim at the post office.
On your side go to the police file a complaint, then go to your bank and show then the police report.
They should refund you.

Who ordered using the free shipping option?

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Thanks guys.
Well i did get a number but it's supposed to not be trackable.
But usually you get at least the confirmation that the parcel has been collected at the post office.
Nothing shows when i enter my nimber on the HK post.

If any of you received his order can he check if he got a parcel number starting by CP ending with HK?

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

so u got a number when u made an order with free shipping offer olbertfrog? i enquired about this and the seller replied that the free shipping does not come with trackable number, hence mine did not come with one so i find it strange u got a tracking number and i didnt and we both purchased when free shipping was available by the sounds of it, whats even stranger is u have tracking number and its not suppose to be trackable, then whats the point of giving to u in the first place?

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

The shipping label usually states how much the box weighed at the time it was shipped, obviously this information is needed to calculate the postage fee. An empty box would not weigh much so it should be pretty easy to tell whether or not there was something in the box at the time it was shipped just by checking the label. Weigh the box and compare and if there is a difference, then different question need to be asked.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

iPaul, sorry to hear about your case mate, I also ordered Chris Redfield from them, along with a few other figures... now I'm worried about getting empty boxes too :(

I also opted for the free shipping (no tracking info) option, should reach me within 10 days hopefully.

It's useless because the EMS slip is too brushed ,you can't tell what's written on it ,let them enjoy my money because that's last money they'll receive...

I might be misunderstanding but I think the claim is that a postal worker or someone like that stole the figure, not that he was sent an empty box.

Or no, are you saying the store definitely sent an empty box, that it wasn't tampered with, iPaul?

I really don't know ,but it doesn't really matter as they should've been prepared for this kind of situations .I was told at the customs that the brown box had a big hole and that they put it in a sack so it arrived stolen in Romania .

They said they filed the complain at EMS but then they told me I have to go myself but the slip is way too brushed .
