I guess there is some hope although it doesnt seem like theyll address the height issue unless the final battle involves Apocalypse growing in size as in comics.

Creating the look of Apocalypse was a group effort and required a few iterations in order for the blue mutant to make it to the screen. “We had to do some adjustments here and there and be like, alright, maybe this is too alien,” says Isaac, who endures two hours of makeup for the look. “He also is someone who people would want to follow and not just be terrified of. So the balance, and then making sure that there’s some great elements from the comic but also making our own thing as well. In the comic, he generally is like 12 feet, 600 pounds.”

Without giving too much away, Isaac does say he gets to do some pretty badass things in Apocalypse. “I mean that last battle is going to be pretty insane. I mean, it’s like freaking Apocalypse fighting all of the X-Men. It’s pretty cool.”

The fact that that is how they chose to make Apocalypse look is reason why I no longer have interest in this movie. He looks ridiculous. I have seen better cosplayers dress up as Apocalypse than whatever the hell this is. Say what you will about Munn, at least she looks like what her character should look like.

Ultron: Great design, another forgettable Marvel villain.

Red Skull: Look taken straight out of the comics, forgettable villain in the MCU.

Yellow Jacket: Awesome costume, another forgettable villain.

Loki: Great costume design, but has become a joke in his last two appearances.

All these great designs can’t help Marvel produce a decent villain. I am almost 100% sure Apocalypse will turn out to be a more interesting, and threatening villain than Ultron turned out to be :lol

So the Horsemen aren’t being mind controlled? I would prefer if he actually has to convince them to join his cause since they already did the whole mind controlling mutants in X2.

Loki is BY FAR Marvel's best villain. I enjoyed him in Thor but in Avengers he gave us Loki Prime. Not really fair to judge his villainy off of Thor 2 tho, he didn't play the villain in that movie.

Obviously they snap out of it because Storm becomes leader of the XMEN when she grows up

Its a prequel remember?

You're really hammering this silly and inadequate counterargument in every CB thread. People are not saying "hey, this character looks nothing like the one from CB so I'm sure he'll act nothing alike too". This is about one simple fact - there are ZERO reasons for CB characters to look drastically different on film unless it's a drastically different take on the entire thing (and still, you have to push it very-very far to justify such changes).

If any of you actually read uncanny xforce

Each character that becomes a horsemen ( and there have been many over the years including the Hulk and Wolverine)

Apocalypse manipulates them into joining his cause

In the trailer it looks like Magneto is sent back to the concentration camp he grew up in and he loses his mind

Its psychological war fare

Very interesting back story of recent Horsemen

Pestilence

Isn't there a bit in the trailer where Mags says that he has no control over himself?

That's a negative.

Loki in the Avengers might be a personal preference, but Red Skull is one the of greatest villains in comics and Cap’s arch nemesis, yet I don’t see much demand for his character to return. Especially since his fate at the end of TFA was left pretty ambiguous. I think Hugo was great in the role though.

No, what I’m saying is I can understand people being upset about the design, but losing interest in the film entirely because they don’t like a design makes no sense to me, especially when Marvel’s villains have been designed reasonably well, yet never leave a real mark. Go read the comment I originally quoted.

Olivia Munn Talks About "Sexual" Costume For 'Psylocke' In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

When it was revealed that Olivia Munn has been chosen to play Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, pretty much all of us were surprised by the news. With that surprise came worry though, as it seemed highly unlikely that director Bryan Singer would give the character her classic costume. Well, to say it looks like it's been torn from the pages of the comics would be an understatement, and Munn is well aware of just how sexy it is. "Psylocke’s outfit or uniform or suit or whatever you want to call it is very sexual," she admits in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"I’ve got like my thigh-highs and a halter, but the thing about that, and that was important, is that it doesn’t matter what I’m wearing as long as we’re all aware of who she is," she reasons. "She’s very strong and she’s very lethal and she’s very powerful, and it doesn’t really matter what she’s wearing as long as you have that strength and that presence." Regardless, wearing that tight costume had its disadvantages and led to a very embarrassing moment during her first day on set. "Now it fits like a glove, but it’s kind of hard because there’s been times where I’m pulling and it pops like a balloon, which did happen day one. Day one, I was like, ‘Uh, guys, uh, do we have a backup? Sorry I popped my crotch.'" Are you looking forward to seeing Munn as Psylocke?

:lol :lol :lol

Does anyone have a video of her being obnoxious (not the SDCC 2015 one)? I would really like to see what everyone is talking about.

I think people give her a hard time because shes a celebrity and says things without thinking them thru

Kinda like when Meagan Fox told all the TMNT fanboys to '**** off'

Nerds alike became all passive aggressive

Here you go. Her part starts at around 20 minutes. IMO the part where Bryan Singer won't let Hugh Jackmen Leave was the cringey-est part. The whole panel was pretty uncomfortable

I think shes great
And i wish people would stop posting those hot dog gifs

Thats gross. Hot dogs should be outlawed

It's really a culmination of her whorish need for attention and stuck-up behavior over the years on G4 and elsewhere. There were instances on G4 where she let people grope her bewbs, jumped in a tank of whipped cream with a maid's dress, did some lesbian kissing scene. I just found her cringe-worthy, and she always needed to grab people's attention somehow to make up for a lack of talent. I haven't seen her after G4 (didn't want to), but I read how she raised hell on the Newsroom set and really soured the atmosphere for those around her.

All in all, I could see her doing pop-culture news coverage. But, having her as an actress in an X-Men movie is way too much of a glorification of her unsuitable skill level for the role. Aside from her annoying personality, she wasn't any more skilled than Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb, Kevin Pereira, or Chris Hardwick. Heck, if Mons get a chance on X-Men, I'd say Hardwick deserves to appear in an entire season of TWD.
