I don't follow that company too closely - would this be their first 1:1 offering?

And somebody corrected the lighting from that scene

Am I the only one who sees a dissapointed 60-YO retired space dad in this pic? You can almost hear him lament his lost opportunities and forgotten dreams, as he looks upon his dissapointing children and ponders just where he went wrong....

What you just described makes no sense to me whatsoever. :lol

Alas, only the select few can truly understand my unique perspective on comic book chaaracters that look nothing like they should...Okay, okay, in all honesty, he really does remind me of a depressed guy who just doesn't hope for anything anymore. I certainly don't see an Immortal Mutant with a extreme Darwinian philosophy. Isaac does have a melancholic face though, especially in "Inside Llewyn Davis" he looked like a sad puppy most of the time (well, he didn't have much to be happy about truth be told...).

So what expression says immortal mutant with Darwinian philosophy?

A sterner, almost inhumane look which brings out a feeling of dread in the viewer. Less "frown-y and tired" more "angry demanding boss". Obviously Oscar's a human being and this is a different take on Apocalypse and heck, this is just a BTS pic, but Apoc's looking "weird" here, that's all I'm saying. I'm not analyzing the whole film and commenting on the facial expressions that an ancient mutant should have were he real based on a single still. 'Twas just a corny joke...

In the comics, especially in his miniseries, you see Apoc start out as a "weakling" of some sorts, a guy you can almost pity. But he slowly and steadily loses his "humanity" to become a stern, cold, calculating and cruel being with only one goal: Evolution through hardships. Thus far, I'm not getting that from this particular version of Apocalypse, but it doesn't mean that I can't enjoy a different take on the character...

You're not wrong. I don't think there is anyone who can honestly say that THIS is what they envisioned or would've hoped for when it comes to a live-action version of Apocalypse.
