X-Men: Apocalypse - May 27, 2016

That's a bummer. I only saw the first half of the FF movie with Chris Evans, and I wasn't into it. I never saw the other two so I can't comment, but it's a bummer for FF fans. Unless people are telling me I have to see a superhero movie, I won't see them unless they get crazy reviews. I've only seen 10 comic book movies total in theaters.

The only reason why I saw the Winter Solider was because I read a bunch of reviews saying it was Marvel's Dark Knight, which contributed to why I loathed the film when I saw it. That and I apparently had the crowd from Maury Povich because everyone whooped and hollored at every scene. That's probably why the only thing I could enjoy was the Peggy scene. Upon re-watch, I really liked it.

I am interested in Civil War though because I think the concept was interesting in the comic, but it turned to a myopic allegory for the Patriot Act. I don't know if you read it, but it's pretty terrible. While I wasn't the biggest fan how they adapted the Winter Solider (I still don't understand why the film was called the Winter Soldier. Heck, I don't even understand why he was called the Winter Soldier.), I can guarantee the movie will be better. I hope Steve stays dead in the movie, and they do a better job developing Bucky-Cap—if that's the direction they're going. I'm sorry, I'm went off in a tangent!

What are your thoughts on Deadpool?

What are your thoughts on Deadpool?

I read Civil War, I thought it was entertaining but that's really it.

If they kill off Evans, he won't stay dead, they'll bring him back for Infinity War. He's already signed on and I believe currently filming those movies.

At first I didn't think I'd like Deadpool too much, but the last trailer for me kind of sold me on the movie. I don't think it's going to be some great piece of cinema, but it looks really fun and different.

I thought Evans was done! Darn it! I don't have anything against the guy, and I like him as Cap, but I was hoping that there would finally be some tension in the universe. Oh, well!

You don't have to give a disclosure about it not being great cinema. I'm obviously no film connoisseur! I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts when it comes out.

The First Class suits are still the best across the movies IMO.

I don't like the way helmeted/masked characters, example being Magneto here, are always shown not wearing them. It's the same with Iron Man/Cap A etc. on the Marvel posters. I guess it's in the actors contracts that they need to have their face posted on everything but it takes away from the character IMO. Iron Man with Stark's/RDJr's head photoshopped onto the suit always looks terrible.

At least some of the older outfits had "X" on them. These just look like generic GI Joe body armor.
