I really liked the trailer. I was critical of the tv spot, but for some reason, I really enjoyed them in context of this trailer. To me this looks like the second best superhero movie after Civil War.

I'm not a fan of Mystique's role in the movies, but if I take my bias aside, I think she's a good character and I think Jennifer Lawrence is a very talented actress.

I'm not anti-cgi. I think it looks really well done, and I just have my imagination to get absorbed in the film.

I really didn't like Apocalypse at all in the previous trailers, but I think he'll be one of the best villains movie villains ever. I'm still rooting for Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor since Lex is my favorite villain (I've converted. I like Jesse Eisenberg's take from what we know so far).

The costumes are wonky, but whatever. If the characters are well-developed, that's all that matters.

All in all, looks cool!

I don't like Jennifer Lawrence. Never have. I don't think she's a very good actress (she was alright in the Silverlinings playbook I guess) and I find her annoying.
I think she is this generation's Julia Roberts. Good looking, likable to many (which is a problem for Ann Hathaway apparently), serviceable in the acting department, and pretty predictable I guess on set. She's no Faye Dunaway or Francis McDormand, but what are you gonna do?

Not speaking to you at all, DiFabio, but I think the hatred for her is overblown in general on the forum here. But we're never lacking for hyperbole here. And of course, the "herd" mentality thing being referred to, which is very real.

Jennifer Lawrence is fine. She's in the spotlight because of Hunger Games and her one superhero character getting so much attention but if it weren't for those two things hardly anyone would be bitching about her. She's kind of the female Tom Hardy right now. Talented, appealing, but a bit over-exposed. I did think that she looked silly as Mystique in FC though.

I loved the trailer. Really feels they're up against it.

Wonder if this will be a hit. For some reason the X-men films seem to fall short compared to the MCU films of late. Maybe it was the time when the first X-men movie came around or maybe it's the directors.

It just seems to be missing magic

X-Men Days of Future Past outgrossed Winter Soldier and came not far behind Guardians. Quality-wise they're ahead imo.

I don't have an issue with her. She's ok as an actress and I do think she's attractive. There is quite alot of 'hate' for her on here but I doubt any of the guys complaining about her would turn her away given the chance...:naughty ;)

I do agree that Lawrence doesn't appear to "sell" the choking scene at all. Viggo choking his wife in A History of Violence was much more disturbing and I think she was actually enjoying it. Mystique is apparently on the verge of death and looks like she's barely trying to make it look unpleasant.

liking this 'white dress' inspired costume

Watch it be better than BvS/CW. :lol

:exactly:

Wow so much hate on this film...I seem to be the only one who's looking forward to this.

You're not

I'm a huge Bryan Singer fan. But he's no David Cronenberg.

You said it. :lol

I'm as big a smartarse as the rest of them aound here sometimes, but seriously.

The herd mentality / rhetoric on this forum can get pretty damn ridiculous.

That's the Internet, if you can't have it, then it sucks :lol

Looks like we have opposite taste in movies Bane :lol

I didn't like this trailer and you like it, I loved all the other trailers for the the previous films and you hated them :lol

I watched the trailer again and it wasn't too bad, I guess the problem was, it didn't have much new footage and that damn Coldplay song just didn't fit :lol

I don't hate her as a person or anything but I find that she's mostly miscast in most of her roles which is probably why I don't think she's a good actress. She's keeps playing these roles for middle aged women. She was miscast in Joy, American Hustle, and these X-Men films. Since FC I can't think of a single scene where she has actually impressed me. Mcavoy and Fassbender had big shoes to fill and so far they've done a great job, she had to fill a model's role and most people think she's doing a terrible a job at that.

I do agree, there's obviously some people on here that hate her for other reasons but I'm never that guy :lol I actually think similarly to Scarlett Johansson that she's just severely miscast for this superhero role.

But Tom Hardy is the man :lol, and my number one pick to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

So by the logic that some people are using, everybody that doesn't like Hilary or Trump secretly wants to be with them. Yeah, OK.

Jennifer Lawrence always plays the same role too. I never feel any difference between any of her roles.
She's one of those actors that never ever changes. She's either quiet and calm or yelling and freaking out in every movie she does.
