I'm not sayin' she's a bad actress but she's in these films only because producers want to use her fame.
Her character is too far from the one in comics and she doesn't look good or act well in the role.

You think she was butchered, poor Cyclops...poor most of them.

If her fame increases box office so that we get more superhero movies then thank you JLaw :hi5:

Good catch, and isn't she telling them they're now X-Men in this scene?

Yup. :yess:

Oh brother she looks like a Romulan

:lol

Sorry but I don't hate her like others do.

She acted ok in her previous 2 movies.
I didn't hate her until I finally saw Silver Linings Playbook and then this trailer. All the hate washed over me like a wave. Part of it was the realization that she is tremendously overrated. She is no Meryl Streep but for some reason Hollywood wants her to be. And because J-Law is the "it girl" everything has to be about her. This whole trailer looked as if it was tailored for the Hunger Games fans, and what really added to the hate was that last scene with Apocalypse choking her and she couldn't be bothered to sell it.

I think Fame was only a fraction of why producers wanted her to continue to be Mystique

I regret having complained about making Wolverine too big and making him take front and center... And now we have Jlaw :slap:slap:slap

She's the only thing in this movie I don't like, everything else looks great, QS's scenes look awesome. I hope he gets a figure this time around.

She's fine as wine, I'm sure most of the virgins on this site hating on her would probably shoot a load just getting a glimpse of her in person :lol
You said it. :lol

I'm as big a smartarse as the rest of them aound here sometimes, but seriously.

The herd mentality / rhetoric on this forum can get pretty damn ridiculous.

I don't like Jennifer Lawrence. Never have. I don't think she's a very good actress (she was alright in the Silverlinings playbook I guess) and I find her annoying. Even though I liked First Class, I always thought having Mystique be at the forefront was a mistake. Mystique is goofy in these movies and looks funny in the make up. Rebecca Romijn Stamos was better, her character fit the story perfectly and had a much more subtle performance and characterization.

I don't really care though. When I see the latest X-Men movies I go to see the dynamic and conflict between Magneto and Professor X as well as the cool action set pieces. Mystique is lame and boring. Days of Future Past should have been the last movie featuring her.

Jennifer Lawrence to me always feels like a little kid that is trying to play dress up or play grown up. American Hustle was just absolutely ridiculous. At first I thought she was playing a teenage mom in that movie (or something like that)

She always comes of as a teen that is trying to act like an adult and comes off as fake. I dont even hate her but she always comes off as very fake to me.

Always bugged me in American Hustle and Joy that she's playing older than she is and they throw award nominations at her. I love Silver Linings Playbook but come on. There are other directors out there aside from David O Russell!

You can smell the bagel she had that morning.

I was thinking this too. Everyone always complained how he got the spotlight over everyone else... and look what happened :lol

There's no strong male leads in the X-Men in this at all. It's just kids.

Not everyone likes blue waffle...

:lol it sure was on display a lot in it, along with her blue sheriff's badge.
