X-Men: Apocalypse - May 27, 2016

Cyclops cool strap and all but he looks 17 years old. Visor hard to tell how good.

Nightcrawler looks like a little kid from India royalty.

Mystique looks good ironically enough.

Charles looks great.

QS looks like a KIZZ member.

To be fair, this was their age for a good amount of time in the comics

Outside of Beast, I think all the costumes look great and way better than anything than Singer has given us throughout the years.

They look alright for the most part, pretty over-designed though. especially QS and Beast. Beast just kinda looks like $h!t, what's with all those missing spots for fur to poke out? just put him in some underwear and it would be way better. Kinda disappointing, I actually prefer the leather suits from X2/X3

But I see these young boys and I think of something else that rhymes with Tool Tape.

Can't we just skip to an adult Cyclops team leader with chest strap and visor.

The first thing I thought was cosplay but it's just a cast photo. The worst costume upgrade is quicksilver. Not only does it look like Ace Freley from Kiss, it's probably the least aerodynamic of the lot, which is counterproductive for a speedster. It would have been nice to see green in Jean's costume, and I'm not a fan of the Mohawk for Storm, so maybe she will have full hair in the next movie. Still it's nice to finally see a broadening of the color palette. I hope it all looks great on the screen.

I'm still hoping someone steps in and takes over from Singer and gives the young xmen team more comic accurate costumes in the next film

Hell, I say they should scrap the new mutants film and let that team work on this young xmen group.

and focus on deadpool and xforce for their films set in current/modern times

I like the direction of the final costumes, Singer's X-Men always needed a bit more color and comic influence, but not in love with these specific designs as they do look cosplay-ish. But did Fox and Empire really have to reveal what looks to be the end of the movie? Also anyone think there's a good chance Psylocke and Angel don't make it out of this film alive?

I agree, they should have kept it hidden.

I said it before, I have a feeling Psylocke will be the Lady Deathstrike of this movie, I have a strong feeling she's going to die. If Angel dies people are going to be pissed, but I wouldn't mind it. I don't want to watch movies without any peril, if any of the main cast die I just hope it's tastefully done.

Over-designed comes to mind when I look at the final costumes. If they pulled it back a bit and made them look more practical, I think these could potentially rival the MCU costumes.

According to spoilers (not sure if true, but they seem to be) the people who die are

Jubilee and Havok. They say Psylocke and Angel make it out alive but do not join the X-Men. I could see Angel dying, but I really think they will keep Munn alive and maybe get her in the present timeline so she can be in the X Force film and interact with Deadpool and Cable.

I like it. Cyclops actually looks like the 90's Cyclops. Ok...I like those costumes.

I'm fine with all those costumes, except for the one for Beast. It doesn't look like a superhero costume to me, it looks more like something you would wear to a paintball match. :/
