In other news, I don't know if anyone noticed, but the Rotten Tomato percentage went up significantly since opening day. Initially it was at 45% or so, and now it's at 57%. The last 20 or so reviews posted were largely positive. 3 more percentage points and it goes from "rotten" to "fresh" somehow Yet the "critical consensus" was posted before it was even at 50%. DISNEY CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of the reviews are very positive, by the way. I'm feeling less and less anxious about this movie.

Yup, it's heading in the right direction at least.

Of course it can't be hanging with the cool cats like TWS and Civil War mind you, but we'll be nice to it.

You also have to remember that even Civil War went down in percentage once the movie opened everywhere. The score could always drop back into the 40's when they get over a hundred critics. It is strange they had a consensus so early though. The mouse is ruthless man!

That's possible, but I think the more likely scenario is that the early screeners aren't representative of critics in general. Because there was such a large and systematic uptick.

Some are taking Kinberg's recent comment that Fox wants another crack at Fantastic Four, but a much lighter in tone version, as an olive branch to Marvel.

Hmmm...I doubt it, but damn, Fox loves to be tortured.

Oh, and Kinberg finally admitted that it sucked.

Collider group review said movie is 50% good but overall underwhelming for a DOFP follow up.
