i always hate how much quick cuts captain america winter soldier had in action scenes, makes me dizzy and distracts me,

seems like civil war has the same amount of cutting? i hate that (im surprised none of the critics ever get mad at that )

TWS has the best shaky cam of any movie that has ever used that technique as does CW, although in CW it crossed the line into disorientation during a few scenes, as did the warehouse fight in BvS.

TWS was perfect.

i hated it. you cant even tell whats going on, whats the point of spending hundreds of millions on a movie if you are going to film it like some world staaaar video?

all that choreography and all that money and hose effects and it is as confusing as a youtube video... freaking hate that

They hate us cause they ain't us :lol

So it's ok for MCU fans to proclaim their action better (and treat is as fact)?

x-men have been weak....

Well, that would be a violation of code 2.7, paragraph 8, of "The Great Book of the Internet", which clearly states: "Fans of something popular and well received can never proclaim it deserves all the hype (and treat it as fact) cause THEY'RE ****ING WRONG AND ARE JUST JUMPING ON THE ****ING BANDWAGON AND CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE DEEPNESS OF THE COMPETITION?!1111?!!?!".

So, no, sadly, we do not have that right... Yet...

Well, you can always stick with old style action if TWS was too hard to follow.

Well, that's the argument kara was making, not an apples to apples comparison though.

We're mainly discussing Superheroes.

Absolutely the humans in RW, Aliens, Indy, Die Hard, Predator and T2 are the best in the industry when it comes to their own heroic actions.

i just dont understand how something as big and powerful and rich as disney cant make action that is not shaky, jumpy and has so much quick cutting...

The Road Warrior - Awesome action. Not dated. No cgi!

mad max fury road, no horrible shaky cam, no quick cuts :clap

Limited to superheroes. Hmm I'd have to lean toward the Nolan flicks, prolly TDK specifically as having seamless looking action.

The shaky cam and editing in CW was only noticeable to me during the Avengers mission in Nigeria even though I know it was used in other places. In WS it felt like the whole movie was that way, which is part of why I'm not as high on that film as everybody else.

But who wants their super soldiers to be static.

There is nothing hard to follow whatsoever in TWS, for me anyways.

Fury Road has to be the most over rated movie in the past 6,000 years.

Road Warrior poops on Fury Road.

I love BB/TDK but BvS has schooled Nolan on how Batman acrobatics are supposed to be.
Nolan and Bale weren't going for an acrobatic style Batman. They were very deliberate in choosing an efficient style of combat for TDK. Something closer to what a special forces person would use in real life, because that was Nolan's whole thing; he wanted to make it the real world, because you know he can put magic and dreamscapes and wormholes in other movies but a Lazarus pit in a Batman movie is just too much. ****ing Interstellar.[emoji35]

True, well said, but I think they only slightly succeeded emulating that style, it could've still been handled a bit more dynamic w/o crossing over into the BvS fantasy style.

Don't even get me started on just how atrocious the fights were in TDKR. :lol

Nope, that is why I specifically stated that TWS/CW got that specific style right, I don't like that technique when handled poorly, like your Blairwitch, Cloverfield, etc.

I refuse to go watch a First Person Videogame like movie, Hardcore Henry can kiss my ass. :lol

...and ANY movie tops that dreadful Godzilla film from a couple years ago....:rotfl

Don't see how comparing the action in a predator movie from the 80s to a modern day superhero movie works out. Predator had some damn awful cgi when he used his shoulder cannon the FX looked like they were crayola'd in after. The practical FX were good..the costumes...but obviously that predator was very static. He was a good match for a peak human character.

Spider-man has to move faster and more agile than any human does. His reflexes and acrobatic ability are beyond practical fx. They made a Spider-Man movie or show in the 60s with practical fx. He didn't look very super.
