Oh there it is again. :lol

Is there an after credits scene?

Actually yes there is. But don't bother staying for it if it means being late for a train :lol

Just a scene of the clean-up at the Weapon X facility and a guy in a suit collecting some serum or whatever and putting it in a suitcase

comparing this to civil war for me made it that much better. Civil war was been there done that. Ive certainly never seen an ancient Egyptian god vs the x-men. There was so much heart and imagination in this I could feel it through the screen. and the music was awesome

my theatre was packed btw and everyone clapped

Lots of tickets available at my theater and I'm getting out early. If traffic isn't bad (everyone is heading to the shore today) I may actually see this in a theater. I just hope it's fun.

There is nothing in this or any XM movie that even remotely comes close to the superhero thrills in TWS or CW.

XMA barely beats the thrills from other XM movies, forget trying to compete with TWS/CW.

The CW airport scene absolutely crushes the end battle with Magneto floating, Storm floating, Jean floating :lol how dynamic.

Poor Isaac he couldn't even walk with those boots so he just stuck people into walls. :lol

Falling boulders does not equal great imagination, its just falling boulders. Great chanting music though in that scene.

Yeah, you really weren't paying attention (or just didn't care to).

The man in the stinger is collecting Wolverine's blood sample for Mr. Sinister. This confirmed Sinister as OLD MAN LOGAN/WOLVERINE 3's main villain and also X-23.

the superhero thrills? like hand to hand combat I guess your talking about? That's not why I love comic books or comic book movies. I never found any of the mcu movies be even close to emotional x-men I feel the opposite about. Some of it is clunky and unintentionally funny but it all adds to the entertainment. X-men is too impressive for me to not applaud. 16 Years and it is still going strong in the same universe. Even if some think dofp is an excuse to reboot or whatever it works perfectly and is a great representation of how things have worked in comic books. Idk this movie seemed very superheroey to me, I'm happy it took itself seriously and did as many goofy things without having to feel sorry about it. And in retrospect I'm understand apocalypse more and more as I think about it, hes quite a tragic guy.

How in the name of all things precious is Apocalypse a "tragic guy"? Apocalypse is the Mutant equilavent of the Red Skull for ****'s Sake! He set out to kill innocent people in order to purify the gene pool. He's a mutant Nazi. He's Magneto gone wrooooong.

The CW airport scene...

It is beyond me how people love that stupid skirmish.

A bunch of superpowered people (sans Widow and Hawkeye) fighting each other at 20% ability and cracking nearly a hundred jokes throughout it all.

Tension = Non-existant
Action = Pointless
Outcome = Nonsense.
Entertainment Value = Tons, just gotta turn off your brain.

The age of mindless, colorful CBMs where nobody gets hurt (Rhodey) is officially upon us and sadly is being overtly welcomed by the masses.

I just think he wasn't that powerful and he knew he wasnt that powerful and had to convince everyone he was more powerful than he was and then he got his ass whooped. (His death was awesome).

seriously, I guess things flying around is cool but if there's no story or tension who cares how pretty something cgi is. I think x-men always took a different approach its not even comparable. X-men doesn't have huge fight scenes that last forever

So he was tragic because... he wanted more power and people to fear him? Well, that's a definition of "tragic" I've never heard before...

No, as someone who loves villains more than heroes, it was tragic to see him fail so miserably and be embarrassed and not be as powerful as he led on to believe
